About This Pub
Ah, The Wheatsheaf in Gomersal – what a lovely spot it is, isn't it? From what I've gathered from the chatter around, it's one of those places that just gets it right most of the time. The food is where it really shines; folks are raving about the hearty all-day breakfasts, juicy steaks cooked to perfection, and even those little extras like halloumi starters and indulgent desserts that make a meal feel special. Pair that with a solid selection of drinks, and you've got yourself a proper treat. The staff are another big plus – they're described as warm and attentive, always with a smile, which makes the whole experience feel relaxed and genuine. And let's not forget the beer garden; it's a nice, chilled-out area that's ideal for soaking up the atmosphere on a sunny day. On the flip side, though, it's a bit frustrating that there's no straightforward info on when they're open, so you might end up faffing about to confirm before you go. Plus, their website seems to have a few glitches, which could make it harder to get the lowdown in advance. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good night out or a casual meal, but just keep those practical bits in mind to avoid any surprises. I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area – you might just stumble upon your new favourite local haunt!

Well what can I say, stubbled upon this absolute gem of a pub. Beautiful decor with such friendly and welcoming staff. Amber & Emily served us with a smile and made us feel right at home. Hats off to the Chef, the food was absolutely delicious, I honestly can’t say anything bad about this place. Lovely beer garden with seating and benches. Definitely worth a stop off. Thank you for having us. We will be back.

Amazing food, great service and great staff, would recommend trying the flat iron steak, great steak and cooked to perfection, the 2 girls running it are lovely and very friendly, if your looking for some good home cooked food then wheatsheaf is the place
One of the nicest meals I've had in a long time! Absolutely delicious food! I had the halloumi ciabatta to start, the belly pork for main and the chocolate brownie with berry sorbet for dessert. Not sure how I've squeezed it all in but there was no way I was leaving any! All the staff were warm and friendly, couldn't do enough for you. Highly recommend a visit!!! Thank you for a fab evening!!!
