About This Pub
Ah, The Tale of Two – it's one of those places that just warms your heart from the moment you step in. Picture this: you're sat on the terrace with a stunning view of the seafront, tucking into some seriously tasty tapas that's fresh and full of local flavours, all while the staff are chatting away like old mates, making sure everything's just right. The cocktails are a highlight too, with a great range that adds to the lively buzz, and it's brilliant value for money, leaving you feeling you've had a proper feast without the hefty price tag. It's spot on for special dos, with private rooms that give you a bit of space for family or friends. On the flip side, if sharing plates aren't your thing or you're more of a straightforward pint person, it might not quite click – one chap mentioned it was grand but not perfect for him, as he stuck to his cider and skipped the fancier drinks. Overall, though, it's a welcoming spot that does a lot right, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after good vibes and a bite by the sea.

Cons
-
It might not suit everyone if you're not a fan of tapas or cocktails, as the menu leans heavily towards those, and some might prefer more traditional pub grub.
-
There could be the odd minor hiccup, like not quite hitting the mark for those who aren't into the vibe, as one person noted it was nice but not flawless.

This was the second time we've eaten here, food was amazing, staff friendly and welcoming and prices very reasonable. For 6 tapas, bread oil and olives, child's spaghetti and Meatballs, portion of fries, pint of beer, bottle of Chardonnay and a pint of coke £95, honestly value for money 😊.
Had a fantastic time, absolutely love this place . Amazing food and cocktails 🍸
Great wiev in restaurant
Would definitely recommend to everyone
We've never had food at the Tale of Two before so when we saw the new menu advertised we thought we would give it a go. We are so glad we did as the food was great. We had 6 tapas plates between us and a portion of fries and each dish was plentiful and tasted really good, we had a bottle of Blass Chardonnay to wash it down and the Bill was just over £56 which was a bargain for what we had. The slight point loss for atmosphere was because it wasn't that busy but I guess with it being Good Friday most people were having a Fish and Chip night. The staff were really friendly and we spent a really nice couple of hours there. The bonus for us is that's it's a 10 min walk from were we live, we will definitely be going back.
I love this place on every aspect of it. The decor, the atmosphere, the music, the food, the choice of beverages, the cocktails, the looked after and clean bathrooms, the security that make sure things are run smoothly and most importantly the amazing staff and management that make sure to bring the experience to a higher level by treating you as part of the family and respect you. They all go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful time. Edited to Include another visit which was cocktail night.....every single one was done to a high standard with special touches and the taste is gorgeous .....one of my go to favourites 'A dead man's tipple' 10 out of 10 for taste.
Flaming Zombie is not for the faint hearted but a gorgeous mix of fruit and different rums 10 out 10 for alcohol volume!!! Strawberry and passion fruit Mojito is a wonderful combo of colours and taste 10 out of 10 for aesthetics and flavour.
The sweetie of the lot was the Fruit Pastille, sweet in taste and look I give it 10/10 for fun!
For the daring and coffee lovers the Espresso Martini has a serious coffee kick , for me it's a little too sharp and not sweet enough. So an 8/10, however it looks amazing.
A wonderful Wednesday evening all round 🍸🍹
Very nice, inside is a totally different place compared to the outside, first time I've tried a tapas I'm not a cocktail kind of person but there was a good range of cocktails, 16 I think, the female I took was impressed for sure, but I just stuck to the usual cider.
The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star is because at around 8pm (Friday night admittedly) the downstairs has more of a bar and could hear the music thudding through the floor, this would be my only criticism, all the staff was friendly and kind
