About This Pub
Ah, The Fishermans Arms – what a gem in the middle of Cleethorpes! From what I've gathered chatting about it, it's got that perfect mix of a laid-back atmosphere and top-quality grub that really hits the spot. The food stands out as a real highlight; think chunky beef in their steak pie or those proper beef burgers, all made with fresh local produce from places like Mel Ward Butchers and Birketts – you can taste the difference, and it's just brilliant value, especially with deals like the Monday burger discount or the Friday fish fry-up. The staff are an absolute delight too, always friendly and eager to help, whether you're there with the family, the dog, or just for a quiet pint. It's open all week with food available all day, which is handy for whatever time you fancy dropping in. On the flip side, the opening times can look a tad confusing with those varying Sunday slots, so you'd want to confirm that beforehand to avoid any mix-ups. And, let's be honest, it does get popular, so you might find yourself waiting a bit on busier days, but that's often worth it for the experience. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're after a place that feels like a friendly local haunt without any fuss – I'd say give it a try if you're in the area!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely brilliant – fresh, locally sourced ingredients make dishes like their steak pie and burgers stand out as proper, hearty meals that'll leave you satisfied.
-
Staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to make you feel welcome, whether you're popping in for breakfast or a full meal.
-
They've got some cracking daily deals, like 20% off burgers on Mondays or that Friday fish special, which offers great value without skimping on quality.
-
It's got a lovely relaxed, family-friendly vibe, perfect for a casual get-together, and they're spot on with being dog-friendly too.
-
With a solid 4.4 rating from plenty of folks, it's clear this place knows how to deliver a good time, especially with all-day food service seven days a week.
Cons
-
The opening hours seem a bit muddled in places, with varying times listed for Sundays, so it's worth double-checking to avoid any disappointment if you're planning a visit.
-
It can get quite busy, especially in the heart of Cleethorpes, which might mean a wait for a table or service on peak days, though that's often a sign of a popular spot.

Absolutely fabulous . Beautifully cooked veggies , especially savoy cabbage . The steak pie is full of chunky tender beef with light crispy pastry and tasty gravy. Burgers are think and proper beef . In short , cannot fault .
Fabulous food, friendly staff. Highly recommended
Booked for Sunday lunchtime, with a dog, and they were fine with that. The table was reserved and ready to go when we got there. The food was delicious. Not fancy and faffy, but normal food made using good quality ingredients and made by chefs who clearly know their craft.
Staff were very friendly, glasses properly cleaned and polished so no lipstick marks from the last user.
Our first visit, but far from our last.
burgers are great and 20% off on Mondays fish and chip friday is a good offer cheaper than my local chippy plus I can have few pints and someone else does the washing up, the curry sauce is nice and well worth ordering with your 10 oz fish with mushy peas and chips
Cannot fault this place at all, every single staff member can’t do enough for you they really look after you. The service is incredible, I love that it’s a relaxed atmosphere but the food is still second to none.
Eaten here a few times for breakfast, dinner and tea and never had a problem with food and would always recommend to friends and family.
I would highly recommend Sunday lunches lovely and filling and very tasty.
The 2 for £16 is a brilliant deal on a Friday for fish and chips and you get a huge portion, well worth popping in for.
I recently tried the Ribeye Steak and I have mine medium, it was cooked to perfection.
