About This Pub

Ah, The Stanley Show Bar – it's one of those places in Blackpool that really knows how to put on a show and make you feel welcome. From what I've gathered from folks who've been, the drag acts and comedy nights are an absolute riot, with hosts who are as funny as they are charming, and the DJs keep the tunes flowing all evening. It's brilliant for a casual get-together or something a bit special, like their Sunday family shows or Wednesday drag cabarets – there's always something to suit whatever you're in the mood for. The drinks deals are spot on, keeping things affordable while you enjoy the clean, vibrant space that's just buzzing with energy. On the flip side, I've heard a couple of tales about staff being a tad strict on little things, like not letting you pop your beers in the fridge, which can feel a bit unnecessary when you're trying to relax. All in all, it's a solid choice for a fun night out; just go in with an open mind, and you'll likely have a whale of a time with mates.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The entertainment is absolutely brilliant, with hilarious drag shows, comedy acts, and talented DJs that keep the energy high and everyone in stitches.
  • The staff are warm, funny, and incredibly welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • Affordable drink offers and a great selection make it easy on the wallet, perfect for a night out without breaking the bank.
  • The venue is spotlessly clean and has a fantastic atmosphere, blending classic tracks and live events that appeal to all ages.
  • VIP booths and drink packages let you upgrade your experience for a bit of luxury, ensuring a memorable time with friends.
Cons
  • There can be some rigid rules around service, like not allowing you to store your own drinks in the fridge, which might feel a bit frustrating.
  • Based on a few comments, the occasional hiccup with policies could disrupt the flow, though it's not a deal-breaker for most visits.

Good entertainment but ordered 3 bottles of beer and asked to keep 2 in the fridge and was refused. Stupid. They even let you do that in wetherspoons

Brilliant addition to the show bars in the central part of Blackpool. When we visited on a Saturday afternoon it was busy with a friendly and inviting vibe. There was a great mixture of patrons young and old. We all sang along with the classic tracks and karaoke. The sound system and lights are amazing. The beer prices are very good. Cheaper than Ma Kellys.. Brilliant well worth a visit.
