About This Pub
Ah, The Ardwick, what a gem for anyone popping into Blackpool for a bit of downtime. I have to say, the first thing that struck me was how unbelievably cheap the drinks are – grabbing a pint for just £1.80 feels like a proper treat these days, and it's clear from the buzz that folks really appreciate that. The staff are an absolute delight, always cheerful and ready with a smile, which makes the whole place feel warm and inviting, like you're catching up with old friends. Plus, with darts, pool, karaoke, and live sports on tap, there's plenty to keep the evening entertaining without it feeling forced. On the flip side, it's not pretending to be anything it's not – it's a straightforward pub, so if you're in the mood for something more refined or a fancy meal, you might find it a bit lacking in the bells and whistles. The decor is simple, and the food options are pretty basic, but honestly, that's part of its charm if you're just after good company and a laugh. All in all, I'd recommend giving it a go if you're after an honest, affordable spot to unwind; it's got that genuine Blackpool spirit that makes you want to come back for more.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
Incredibly affordable drinks – pints like Fosters at just £1.80 make it a wallet-friendly spot for a good night out.
-
Friendly and welcoming staff who always seem up for a chat, creating that cosy, local vibe.
-
Spotlessly clean throughout, from the bar area to the toilets, which is a real bonus for a casual pub.
-
Loads of fun activities on offer, like darts, pool, karaoke, and live sports, keeping things lively and entertaining.
-
A great atmosphere that's welcoming for both locals and visitors, especially with its prime location just off the Blackpool front.
Cons
-
It's a straightforward, no-frills place, so if you're after something fancy or upscale, it might feel a bit basic and unpolished.
-
The food options seem limited – mentions of simple butties, but nothing too exciting for those wanting a proper meal.
-
Opening times can be a tad confusing with varying schedules listed, which might catch you out if you're planning a visit.
-
As it's more of a classic boozer, the music and entertainment might not suit everyone, especially if you prefer a quieter setting.

What a find! Only 1 rd back from the front! Cheap drinks at £1.80 a pint, yes you read that right! Atmosphere was great, staff were so friendly and polite. Some cool art work, darts, pool and good music. Toilets and bar area were spotlessly clean. Will def visit again when in Blackpool!
Called in for hair of the dog pint...cheap as chips...it was Fosters but it was £1.80!!!

Always come in when we visit blackpool
Good boozer. Plenty of dartboards. Darts behind bar, fiver deposit. Pool table. Karaoke. Good crowd. Friendly staff. Saw butties behind the bar, decent price. Foster's £1.80 a pint, can't go wrong with that. Fantastic location, just behind the front.
Definitely visit again.
Classic Blackpool boozer. £1.80 pints, darts, Sky Sports, karaoke, smoking area. Ingredients for a good atmosphere.
Don't expect the Ritz. Accept it for what it is and enjoy yourself.
