About This Pub
Ah, The Sir Robert Peel – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a proper get-together with mates. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the place has this fantastic atmosphere that's full of character, with traditional decor and pictures that make you feel like you're stepping into a bit of local history. The staff really stand out; they're always smiling, quick with a chat, and even remember your order, which makes every visit feel personal and enjoyable. Plus, the prices are a winner – you get some amazing deals without feeling like you're skimping on quality, and that huge garden is an absolute gem for whiling away an afternoon with the family or the dog in tow. It's especially brilliant on match days, with the TVs showing all the action and a pool table for a bit of friendly competition. On the flip side, it's a shame the website's not up and running properly, as it makes it harder to plan ahead or check out what's on offer. And while the recent feedback has been nothing but positive, that overall rating of 4.2 suggests there might be the occasional hiccup, like confusing opening times or perhaps a busier day that doesn't quite live up to the hype. All in all, though, it's a solid choice if you're after a relaxed spot in Stockport for good drinks, laughs, and that community feel – I'd say give it a go and see for yourself!

Cons
-
The website's a bit of a letdown – it's not accessible right now, so it's tricky to look up menus or events before you head over.

The atmosphere and the clientele at the pub is amazing. Every time I am there always greeted with a smile and great service. Prices are very cheap, and there are amazing deals.
Huge garden at the back to chill with kids, dogs or even to enjoy a few drinks in the sun.
Friendly bar staff (even know my order when I walk in) Really enjoy this pub on match days even started going in on non match days. Proper land lady's not afraid of a bit of banter
OMG what a fantastic atmosphere, we started going in maybe once a fortnight, but from now on it will be more regular. Amanda and Donna are superb, they make you feel like a regular as soon as you enter the pub. The regulars are friendly and make an effort to make friends. Weekends are great with a disco and Karaoke to entertain the locals. Not forgetting the other bar staff, they are just as friendly and efficient.
Definitely a 5* public house. Dave n Alison
The clutch went on my car outside this pub (a while ago now) Mark, that works here, came out and offered to drive it home for me and the landlady was completely nice about it, even tho he was working and offered to pick him up.
It was so kind of them and saved me a huge job of getting a removal company.
I've not drank in the pub but can only imagine it to be very friendly and welcoming.
Thank you for saving me a right load of hassel ❤️
A nice comfy boozer... Set just at the end of the shopping area, this traditional pub has a large beer garden and pool table and sports on the multiple TVs
Carla was a great host, friendly and welcoming.
A great place to visit and do some shopping.
Loving the decor with the pictures and memorabilia.
