About This Pub
Ah, let's chat about The Shore – well, it's gone and rebranded to The Black Mill Bar and Kitchen, from what I've gathered, so keep that in mind if you're planning a visit. It's got this lovely, homely feel where the food steals the show; people rave about the hearty dishes like steak pie and chicken Balmoral, all served up with generous portions that leave you satisfied. The team there are absolute stars, always making sure everything runs smoothly and even going the extra mile for families or those with dogs in tow. It's spot on for a relaxed catch-up with friends, especially if you're after good value without emptying your wallet. On the flip side, though, it can feel a bit cold in the dining spot, so you might want to layer up, and with it being so popular, you're better off booking in advance to avoid any waiting around. All in all, it's a solid choice for a meal out, with more highs than lows, and I'd say it's worth popping in for the experience.

It's not called The Shore any more, rather The Black Mill bar and kitchen. It also has a different phone number, so check first. They were very busy when we arrived, but they managed to find a table. It was a bit cold in the dining area. The service and food was excellent.
The chilli chicken starter to share is a must.
Phenomenal little restaurant and a great stop off on a drive from Stirling to Aberdeen. Steak pie was amazing, and the chicken Balmoral had some of the best haggis we've had since arriving in country.
Food was amazing!!! Very dog friendly. Ziggi got a boiled chicken breast along with our food. Well worth a visit with or without a dog.
Really good value for money on meals.
2 and 3 course set price menus for lunch and dinner. Couldnt fault our meal at all. Staff very accommodating.
Prawn cocktail & cheesy nachos to start
Cheeseburger for the mains 🤌🏻
Booked a table for dinner for 4 (busy wee place so booking is advised). Xmas menu is on offer along with an alternative menu, young at heart (kids/elderly/small eaters) menu too. Great selection of meals, great portion sizes and very well presented. Tasted amazing! Very reasonable prices too!
Friendly atmosphere and staff with adjoining bar and lounge for pre/post dinner drinks. Great selection of drinks available and various offers which change regularly. Highly recommended for a family meal or drinks with friends alike.
