About This Pub
Ah, The Shepherd & Flock – it's one of those unpretentious gems in West London that just feels like a proper old-school boozer, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews and vibes, it's all about that top-notch Guinness and a welcoming crowd that makes you feel right at home, especially if you're popping in before a footie match or a concert nearby. The staff seem genuinely lovely, keeping things running smoothly even when it's buzzing, and the prices are a breath of fresh air in pricey London. On the flip side, it's a tad compact, so you might end up standing or squeezing in, and it's not exactly the prettiest place – more focused on character than fancy frills. If you're after a wide range of beers, it might not hit the mark, but for an honest, affordable pint and some good-natured banter, it's spot on. All in all, I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area; it's got that heartwarming local charm that keeps people coming back.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The Guinness here is absolutely spot on – it's one of the best pints you'll find in London, and at such reasonable prices too!
-
It's got that authentic Irish vibe, with a cosy, welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for a chat with the friendly staff and regulars before a QPR game or a gig at the Empire.
-
Being an inexpensive spot means you can enjoy a proper traditional boozer without breaking the bank, and it's open every day from midday till midnight.
-
The bar staff are quick and efficient, even when it's packed, which makes for a smooth experience on busy nights.
Cons
-
It's a bit on the small side, so finding a seat can be a challenge, especially on Saturday nights when it gets really lively.
-
The drink selection is fairly straightforward – great for lagers and Guinness, but not much for real ale enthusiasts.
-
It might not win any beauty contests; it's more of an honest, no-frills place rather than a fancy spot with modern decor.
-
There's talk of it being cash-only, though that might have changed – it's worth checking to avoid any hassle when you're up for a round.

Best little Irish pub in the West
Love it love it love it 😁😍
Great pub and bartender John Joe was lovely! Thank god for a decent pint of guinness
A true authentic Irish boozer. Great Guinness and some of the best prices you will see in London. Warm welcoming staff and friendly patrons.
**an earlier review says cash only but this has since changed - we could pay by card**
An absolutely cracking pint of Guinness for £4.60! Unheard of in a major city. Relatively small pub but great atmosphere
Is this West London’s most beautiful pub? No. But is it an honest boozer? Yes. Cash only is a real throw back and inductor for what to expect. Lagers, (very good) Guinness, and some bitters. Top pub before QPR games. Not big; cosy.
