Amazing atmosphere. Great friendly local folk. We visited with the boys from Hungary and were made to feel welcome by everyone.
Even tho the atmosphere is what you expect from an establishment such as the salutation but how my partner who is physically and mentally disabled was barred by a member of staff for a situation that didn’t even involve my partner back in April of this year it was also my first time at this establishment and yet my first time was tarnished by this member of staff we went back tonight for a pint and the same member of staff kicked out my partner yet again I don’t know her name she has blond and brown hair and quit slender if anyone else had similar experiences with said member of staff please comment to see if this discriminatory behaviour is an on going occurrence or just against my partner alone
£2.20 for a cup of tea at a funeral wake was daylight robbery Especially when you had to make it yourself! ! Bleach all over toilet seat ruined my sister’s new trousers. They won’t accept responsibility and deny using bleach! Whatever, the smell of bleach was overwhelming in the pub itself never mind the toilets!
Don’t be put off by the looks when you first enter as an outsider. As soon as you order you are one of the boys.
Don’t provide their own darts. I would have expected more from such an established place. Probably for safety, but fyi bring your own
Small pleasant pub.Great beer, well run and a cheerful venue. Everything you need for a few drinks and good atmosphere. Just an update revisited after not being in for a while. Still has all its charm, character and warmth. If you are in the area call in and enjoy quality drinks, served with a smile in a relaxing atmosphere.
