About This Pub
Ah, The Salisbury Hotel – it's one of those places that really warms the cockles of your heart once you step inside. From what I've gathered from folks who've been there, it's transformed into a proper gem over the years, with that stunning Victorian architecture and intricate woodwork that just makes you pause and appreciate it. The beers are a highlight; they've got a solid range of cask ales and other drinks that are reasonably priced, and it's always nice to see options for those skipping the booze. Then there's the food – oh, the chicken burger sounds like a winner, and their Sunday roasts, especially the veggie ones, get rave reviews for being hearty and flavoursome. It's got that easy-going, family-friendly feel with loads of space to spread out, and the occasional jazz night adds a bit of buzz without overwhelming the place. On the flip side, it does tend to fill up quickly, so you might end up queuing for a bit or struggling to nab a table during peak hours. And if you're an early riser wanting a midday pint, the later opening times could be a slight letdown. All in all, it's a solid spot for catching up with mates over a drink and a bite, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the area – just go with the flow and you'll have a great time.

The Salisbury was horrible 20 years ago, when I lived nearby. Then I moved away and it became exceptional! Great service, good range of cask ales at around 5 or 6 quid. The building itself is a stunner, too! What a Bobby Dazzler!
A really beautiful and historical boozer with a large number of good quality beers and a good selection of wines and spirits. The woodwork of the bar is stunning.
The bar is large with several bar staff serving in different areas but it can get very busy.
The food served has always been very good, tasty and decent portions.
Great pub with some yummy food options! The chicken burger is amazing!
Great selection of beers. Including two options of draft non-alcoholic beer, which is great too.
Chinese/asian food.
Family-friendly pub.
Plenty of space and different rooms.
Beautiful traditional pub, with over 30 beers on tap and mulled wine in winter. Very good vegetarian and vegan Sunday Roast. Once a month they have a jazz night - book a table in advance.
