About This Pub
Ah, The Royal Oak – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews and menu, it's got this lovely mix of a cosy, inviting atmosphere with fireplaces and outdoor spots that make it ideal for a chilled pint or a proper meal with mates. The staff really shine through; they're quick, welcoming, and go the extra mile, like sorting out a bowl of water for the dog or ensuring your table has a view of that quaint little river. The food's another winner – think hearty Sunday roasts with massive portions that leave you satisfied, or treats like ribeye steak and fresh salads that cater to all tastes, even the veggies among us. With a solid 4.5 rating, it's clear most people have a brilliant time, but do keep in mind it can fill up fast, and those operating hours might mean an early finish on some days. All in all, if you're after a reliable spot for good grub and a laugh, I'd say give it a go – it's got that classic pub charm without any fuss.

Cons
-
It can get quite busy, especially for popular meals like Sunday lunch, so you might need to book ahead to avoid waiting around.

There haven't been many recent reviews, which makes you wonder if things have stayed as buzzing as they used to be – always worth checking before heading over.
-
The operating hours seem a bit inconsistent, with some days closing earlier than expected, which could cut short your evening if you're planning a late one.

The Royal Oak in Isleworth is a fantastic pub! The atmosphere is lively yet cozy, making it the perfect spot to unwind. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring you have everything you need. I enjoyed a refreshing pint of their local brew, which was just what I needed. The pub’s charm and excellent service make it a must-visit. Highly recommend!
Excellent experience overall, ribeye steak melted in the mouth and the fries were especially nice. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
We booked early (it did get busy later). Staff were very friendly and we were shown to our table which had views of the small river running along side of the pub. A member of staff took our drinks /food order.
The Sunday Lunch was epic. Very generous portions, well cooked and presented. The Roast pork was tender and melt in the mouth. When the plates arrived they were brimming over with roast meat, potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding and parsnips, and then they came with a dish of vegetables for us too. Almost too much, make sure you are hungry.
Definitely recommend eating here and worth booking.
We were a family party of 7 and we were given a lovely room all to our self’s, we were even allowed to bring our dog. She was made to feel most welcome and the lovely waitress, Elizebeth brought her a welcoming bowl of water. The service was amazing, efficient, quick, welcoming and friendly. The food is extremely tasty and well presented, some lovely dishes and a choice for all from fussy, from young and old. The dishes were large and extremely good value, loved the roast trio of meats. Must be one of the best roast dinners around. Must mention the barmen, Liam who was so accommodating with our drinks needs and the young waitress Sophie who was so friendly and helpful. In the words of Arnie - We will be back!
Overall a fantastic cosy pub with excellent ambience and food! There are nice separate seating areas and 2 fireplaces as well as an outdoor seating area with heated booths. The food was absolutely delicious and piping hot. The service also was fantastic. Highly recommend to visit, and will definitely be back again for sure.
