About This Pub
You know, when you step into The Milford Arms, it just has that warm, community feel that makes you want to settle in for the evening. The staff are genuinely top-notch, always ready with a smile and helpful advice, whether you're there for a pint or sorting out a private do. Their food really shines – I'm talking mouthwatering Sunday roasts and solid pub classics made with fresh, local ingredients, perfect for sharing over a chat. And if you're a sports fan, it's brilliant for catching the big games on those multiple screens, without any fuss. On the accommodation side, it's a solid option for a budget-friendly overnight, with perks like free parking and a brekkie included, plus that handy discount code. But, to keep it real, I've heard a few tales of the heating playing up in the rooms, which might leave you wrapping up on a cooler night, and it's more about cosy reliability than outright luxury. All in all, it's a great pick for a relaxed catch-up or a quick escape, as long as you go in with the right expectations – it's the kind of place that feels like a local favourite, with its heart in the right spot.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely lovely and go out of their way to make you feel welcome, whether you're popping in for a drink or planning an event.
-
Their food is spot on – think delicious Sunday roasts, classic pub dishes, and even hand-made pizzas that hit the mark every time.
-
It's a brilliant spot for watching live sports with 11 screens, so you can catch all the action without missing a beat.
-
The accommodation offers great value, with comfy en-suite rooms, free parking, a complimentary breakfast, and even a discount code for bookings.
-
Handy location near Twickenham makes it ideal for events or a quick getaway from the hustle of London.
Cons
-
There have been some gripes with the heating in the rooms, like it being on a timer and turning off at night, which could leave you feeling a bit chilly.
-
It's more about straightforward, no-frills vibes than luxury, so if you're after something posh, it might not quite deliver.

I didn't stay in the hotel, so my comments are on the pub. My family and I visited The Milford Arms pub on Father's Day. The staff were so lovely and the Sunday Roast was amazing! It was so tasty. It was my first time there and I would visit again.
The Milford Arms is a great stay for people looking for value-for-money who don’t need the Ritz. Run by good people who try to help you, it is a favourite venue for rugby sporting people as Twickenham is nearby. Good value accommodation and food in a very handy location!
We recently held our father’s Wake at the Milford Arms, this was also his local pub. The landlady and landlord were most helpful in the planning of this giving us good practical, and experienced advice. The day went off incredibly well and the behind the scenes activity of all the staff was amazing. The made a very sad day a fantastic celebration. We also stayed the night at the Milford Arms. The room was clean and functional and very comfortable. All followed in morning with a wonderful breakfast. Thank you so much to all of the team at the Milford Arms, you should all be very proud of your efforts.
We checked in the night before New Year’s Eve, only to find the heating turned off at night, leaving us freezing. When we inquired, we were told the heat was on a timer. They assured us it would stay on the following night, which it did, but it was turned off again the day after. How does it make sense to sleep without heating in London in January? On a positive note, the room was very clean when we arrived, but housekeeping didn’t bother to vacuum during our stay. The location was convenient for us, with a bus station just a 2-minute walk away.
One of the nicest pubs in the whole of london for sure. My room was flawless, the staff is incredibly nice and everything from rooms down to a single pint is quite moderately priced. Mind, it's not necessarily city centre but especially after a day in the busy town itself it's quite nice to come back into a quieter environment and calm down a little. All in all perfect as pub just as well as an accomodation :)
