About This Pub
Ah, The Royal Oak in Nuneaton – it's one of those classic pubs that feels like a proper community spot, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff really shine through as the highlight; they're described as brilliant and helpful, going above and beyond to make your visit enjoyable, which is just what you want when you're settling in for a drink or a meal. The drinks are well-priced with a good variety, and the food sounds spot on – fresh basket meals and burgers that hit the spot, plus they're gearing up for some new Sunday roasts that could be a game-changer. Oh, and the free parking is a nice touch for those of us driving over. On the flip side, it's not all rosy; a couple of reviews mention some right dreadful experiences with rude service and staff chatting about folks, which is a bit off-putting and could spoil the mood. Plus, it might get a wee bit noisy with kids around and no tunes playing, so if you're after a peaceful evening, it might not always deliver. All in all, with a solid 4.2 rating, it's worth a visit if you're in the area – just keep your expectations balanced and you'll likely have a cracking time.

It's got a lovely atmosphere overall, especially on a nice summer day, and the new owners seem to be injecting some fresh energy.
Cons

Some folks have had run-ins with rude staff and poor service, which can really put a damper on your evening.

The vibe can feel a bit off at times, with complaints about it being dreadful or staff gossiping behind people's backs.

It can get a tad loud with children around and no music to balance it out, making it less relaxing for a quiet pint.

Lovely pub, bar staff are brilliant and never any trouble x
The vibe here is just dreadful, like seriously, the worst. The people working there are beyond rude, and don't even get me started on the service – it's a disaster. They spend more time chatting about customers behind their backs than actually helping out. Just an all-around unpleasant experience, to be honest. Just go to the pub next door. Better service and outdoor experience there!
Lovely little pub, nice atmosphere and good selection of drinks. Reasonably priced too. Served by Faith, lovely service from her, very helpful and cheery, she went above and beyond! Only issue was it was a bit loud with children and no music
A nice summer day, had basket meals here. Fresh food, service was great. Lots of free parking. There will be Sunday roasts coming soon, with a new menu for us all. New owners here now, so must come and visit.
Great service and very friendly bar staff. I had a beefburger it was cooked to perfection. Would definitely be visiting again.
