About This Pub

You know, when I think about The Rock House, it's got that real community feel that's just lovely for popping in with mates after a long day. The staff are an absolute highlight – they're so friendly and helpful, like when they chat about the new menu or make sure you're settled in. It's brilliant for sports fans too, with plenty of screens dotted around, especially in the beer garden, making it a top spot to catch the footie without missing a beat. The food and drinks are spot on as well; nothing fancy, but reliably tasty and just what you fancy. On the flip side, though, there are times when you might have to hang about a bit to get served, as the team can get a bit distracted with other goings-on. And it does have that locals' pub charm, which is great if you're in the know, but could feel a smidge exclusive if you're new to the area. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good laugh and a decent night out, as long as you go in with realistic expectations – the pros definitely outweigh the minor niggles!

Not changed since I was there a couple of years ago, obviously a locals pub. Lots of drinks on offer. Did have to wait a while to be served as staff seem to be doing other things or nattering to each other. Great if you're a sports fan as there a plenty of TVs around the pub.

My friend and I decided to eat here on our way home, we'd never been before and it was a random pick! But what a great pick. Lovely staff and delicious food, though my dog was disappointed because she didn't get as much food off. my plate as usua!!
