About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about The Red Lion – it's one of those pubs that just warms your heart from the moment you step in. As a community-owned spot that's been going strong for over 40 years, it's got this genuine, down-to-earth feel that's hard to beat, especially with its beautiful garden and cosy interior that's perfect for a relaxed afternoon or evening. The beers are an absolute highlight; they've got a cracking selection of real ales from local breweries that always hit the mark, and the food menu is full of fresh, locally sourced treats that go beyond the usual pub grub – think pub classics with a bit of flair. Events like quizzes and live bands add to the buzz, making it a great place for a laugh with mates. On the flip side, it's a bit of a pain that you can't book online and have to call instead, and with the current status suggesting it might be closed, it's worth checking ahead to avoid disappointment. All in all, it's a brilliant little spot that's worth the effort if you're after an authentic pub experience, but do plan accordingly to make the most of it.

Charming pub on the village green, popped in fir sunday lunch before the village cup cricket match. Had a lovely spinach and mushroom lasagne with a pint of cider, excellent value.
Amazing little village pub owned by locals. Good local taps, board games and generally a cosy environment in the middle of nowhere. High recommended and worth going out of the way to visit.
Definitely in my top 10 pubs in the world. Great beer, relaxed local, good food, in a bit of a time capsule but in a good way.
Been back many times. Always a good pint. Had a lovely burger as well this time.
