About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about The Red Lion; it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot every time. Tucked away in the lovely village of Brafield-on-the-Green, it's surrounded by beautiful countryside, making it ideal for a sunny afternoon pint outside or a snug evening by the fireplace with a hearty meal. The food really steals the show – from the mouthwatering steaks and roasts that customers rave about to special menus like the Valentine's one, everything's prepared with fresh, quality ingredients that make you feel like you've struck gold. The team there are an absolute delight, always polite and eager to help, whether you're booking a table or just dropping in for a quick bite. That said, if you're thinking of going late in the evening, you might find things a tad hurried, and occasionally some drinks options aren't on hand, which is a bit of a shame. Overall, though, it's a fantastic spot for catching up with mates over good grub and a few drinks, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after that authentic pub charm without any fuss.

Thank you guys for a great night.
We came close to the closing time and they were very kind to still service, and serve was very well.
That steak was very good we did not expect it to be that good, especially since, they had to rush because we came late . It was well done juicy chewy but definitely cooked well.
Stopped by for an early evening meal and wanted to sit outside.
We were thinking about pubs with nice outdoor seating areas and remembered this one.
Had some nibbles to start then had three very nice mains.
A classic Caesar salad with chicken red Thai curry with chicken and Sticky Korean Glazed Pork Belly, all great meals. I would recommend any of these.
We visited this restaurant with friends. The place was very cosy and not that busy for Sunday night. We have been politely met and escorted to our table. Our waitress Chloe greater us friendly and patiently took our order and even wrote the cocktail menu because the actual menu was not available at that point, really good effort.
The food was great, just worth mentioning that not all items on the menu were available, but we were notified straight away.
Sunday roast was great, Caesar salad portion was largely full of flavour.
Overall great experience 9.5/10
We went last night for the set Valentine's menu, it was absolutely gorgeous 😍 we also did the wine pairing which was offered.
The meal was beautiful, presentation fantastic, staff very nice and attentive, but not too intrusive. The owner is a lovely guy, who takes the time to have a natter with you, love this, made to feel very welcome. This is our third time of visiting and really looking forward to going again soon. Please pass on our thanks to your chef and kitchen brigade as the food was outstanding 👌
Amazing food last night. We had 3 courses and couldn't fault anything. The Lamb rump main off the specials board was delicious!! Compliments to the chefs, you smashed it. Really lovely service too. Thanks team :)
