About This Pub

Ah, The Railway Inn – it's one of those hidden gems in Airdrie that really hits the spot for a laid-back evening. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, like you're part of the gang from the moment you walk in. There's a real community spirit here, where you might end up chatting with the regulars or even getting introduced around if you're new in town. It's super dog-friendly and even lets kids in, which is great if you're out and about with the family or your furry friend. Plus, the drinks are fairly priced, so you won't feel short-changed. On the flip side, it's a bit of a shame they don't have food on offer, though they'll sort something out for you if you ask – just something to keep in mind if you're hoping for a proper pub grub session. And with not much of an online footprint, it might take a bit of effort to find out more before you go. Overall, if you're after a genuine, unpretentious spot for a drink and some banter, I'd say give it a try – it's got that classic pub charm that's hard to beat.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making every visit feel like catching up with old mates.
  • It's got a fantastic community vibe, where you can easily chat with locals and feel right at home.
  • Dog-friendly and even welcomes kids, so it's brilliant for popping in after a walk or with the family.
  • Drinks are reasonably priced, which means you can enjoy a few without breaking the bank.
Cons
  • They don't serve food on-site, though they're happy to order something in for you, which might not be ideal if you're after a full meal.
  • With only a handful of reviews online, it doesn't seem to be on everyone's radar yet, so it might feel a bit under the radar.
  • No website or online presence makes it tricky to check details like the menu or events before heading over.

They don’t serve food but will happy order for you, great place and great vibe I would 100% recommend anyone passing to pop in or come in if your local! Kids and dogs welcome! Staff are friendly and welcoming, I was here for two weeks for work and when I come in they introduced me to the locals warmly and they welcomed me with open arms, had some real fun here and I’m truly sad I’ll be going but with the experience I’ve had here I’ll be back for a holiday just to come here and that says it all!
