About This Pub
Ah, The Queen's Head, it's one of those pubs that just warms your cockles from the moment you step in. From what I've gathered from folks' chats online, the staff are an absolute delight, always cheerful and attentive, making you feel right at home even when the place is buzzing. The food's another highlight; their Sunday roasts and seasonal menus are spot on, using fresh ingredients that leave you satisfied without breaking the bank too much. And that garden – it's a gem, especially on a sunny day, giving you that outdoor vibe without straying too far from the city hustle. On the flip side, it does get packed, so you might find yourself queuing for a table or dealing with a bit of a wait, and the prices are on the moderate side, which could add up if you're popping in regularly. Plus, with doors shutting around 11pm, it's not the spot for all-night revels. All in all, it's a solid choice for a proper pub experience in Hammersmith – whether you're after a quick pint, a hearty meal, or even hosting a get-together, it'll likely hit the mark, but keep in mind those busier moments might need a bit of planning ahead.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The customer service is absolutely top-notch; the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, just like chatting with old mates behind the bar.
-
The food is a real winner, especially the Sunday roast and seasonal specials – fresh, tasty, and hits the spot every time.
-
It's got one of the largest pub gardens in West London, perfect for soaking up the sun with a pint or two on a lazy afternoon.
-
The atmosphere is cosy and inviting, with plenty of seating options inside and out, making it feel like a proper local hideaway.
-
A great selection of beers on tap, from cask to keg, so there's always something to suit your fancy for a quick drink or a full evening.
Cons
-
It can get quite busy, especially in the garden during peak times, which might mean a bit of a wait for a table or service.
-
With moderate prices, it might feel a tad pricey for everyday visits, though it's worth it for the quality.
-
The closing time around 11pm could be a bit early if you're after a late-night session, leaving you to head elsewhere for a nightcap.
-
Being in Hammersmith, it's smack in the middle of things, so traffic and crowds from the area might make it less peaceful on busier days.

The pub is absolutely fantastic! The customer service blew me away—way beyond anything I could have imagined! Maisy, Lais, and their incredible team were nothing short of amazing. Even with the place buzzing with energy, they maintained their warmth and attentiveness to every guest. Because of their outstanding service, I've become a regular and now I can't help but bring all my friends along to experience this gem too!
Great local pub! The food is great, the place is not super noisy and it has great service! The coffee with mini deserts is a must and the sunday roast is definitely something to go back to many times.
Food was fantastic and very tasty! We ordered from the Sunday Roast menu and everything was amazing.
Staff is excellent and very kind!
Such a cozy pub, the interior was great.
Highly recommended😊
One of the most hospitable and thoroughly accessible pubs in Hammersmith. I had forgotten it existed until called to a HAFSON AGM being kindly hosted there for the third year. What a pleasant reminder of such a airy Autistic user friendly space with so many different seating choices inside and out. ( apologies for no outdoor garden pics ..too busy talking ! )
No matter what your party size, romantic tete a tete, after works drinks, leisurely group or family lunch, meetup, celebration: birthday, anniversary, retirement, divorce ( yes l had a party 🎉)this wonderful venue will accommodate you. Bookable tables, areas, and my friends vouched for the wine/ drinks selection. I was on tea. The outside seating area is nearly as vast as the interior. There are shielded from the sun wooden booths. Open tables in the middle and what looked like a trellis part at the back.
Now lm reminded it's in Brook Green, one bus stop away from the sometimes overly busy main drag of Hammersmith Broadway lm telling you to frequent it any time you like. For Autistic drinkers, diners and meetups ld advise you to go for daytime, or midweek use to feel less overwhelmed by numbers of people congregated together. However if you tel in advance lm sure it's possible to book a quieter nook within the main body of the pub. The main music system is not a belting, drown out intimate conversation one. The bar staff are friendly, warm and attentive to detail so it's a place l can highly recommend.
The Queen's Head in Brook Green, just on the eastern side of Hammersmith is a most delightful "village" pub, on a green no less, all green and leafy. Unfortunately, no cricket match to complete the scene. A lovely spacious pub with plenty of beer, both cask and keg on offer to slake ones thirst. Staff were welcoming and efficient. A delightful beer garden to the rear. A most pleasant place for a "pub" meal including, I suspect a Sunday lunch (just confirmed from the bar). A special, modern traditional pub well worth finding. A most enjoyable pint too!!! P.S. The place is huge!
