UPDATE:
Since my last visit 8 months ago, seems like much has changed, unfortunately for worse. I visited the pub in a group of 6, where almost everyone ordered rib of beef Sunday lunch. However, when the waiter brought dishes we received a completely different cut of meet, and as well much smaller portions than last time. I was very much annoyed that no one informed us about unavailability of rib of beef. Furthermore the service was subpar, as I needed to ask for the extra gravy 3 times. For the desserts we waited as well quite long, even though the pub was not full. There was not even a soap in bathroom. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend this place.

A great pleasant surprise. Went for a Sunday lunch (beef rib), which I highly recommend as it was cooked perfectly with good amount of sides. Ordering through the website is quite handy too!
Tasty fish and chips 🍟 served in a Cold environment where the background music 🎶 distracts diners from the uncomfortable Cold atmosphere within where fires are dying 🔥 & with a front door left open which does not help either! The toilets 🚻 need to be kept clean & smelling fresh!

I had an amazing experience at The Preston! From the moment I arrived, Lauren provided exceptional service — friendly, welcoming, and so easy to talk to. The atmosphere was fantastic, creating the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the evening. Everything about the visit was top-notch, and I’d highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for great vibes and excellent service. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Visited The Preston for our Work Christmas lunch. Very welcoming atmosphere upon arrival and staff were friendly. Varied menu for all tastes and I was especially chuffed when my colleagues who are NOT Local praised the food and the atmosphere.
Great sized portions for the Christmas meal and presentation of the tables upon arrival
Service was well paced allowing us time for our Secret Santa, quiz and drinks.
Recent refurbishment makes the place warm and cozy with new seating and the toilets are all spruced up
