About This Pub
Ah, The Plough – it's one of those classic community pubs in Rotherham that you might stumble upon after a day out shopping or catching the train. I've got to say, it's got some real charm going for it; the live sports setup is brilliant, with plenty of screens showing everything from Premier League footy to horse racing, making it a top choice if you're up for cheering on the team with a cold pint in hand. The drinks deals are spot on too – inexpensive and with offers that make you feel like you've got a bargain, which is always a win in my book. Plus, being so conveniently placed near the main stations and with free parking around, it's easy to drop in without any hassle. On the flip side, though, it's not all rosy; some reviews mention the toilets being absolutely minging and flies everywhere, which can really kill the vibe. And if the bar staff are in a mood, they might come off as a tad arrogant, which isn't what you want when you're just trying to enjoy a quiet drink. Oh, and it's a bit of a letdown that they don't do food, so you'd have to plan ahead if you're after more than just liquids. All in all, it's a decent spot for what it is, but it'd be even better with a bit of TLC on the facilities – worth a visit if you're in the area, but maybe keep your expectations in check.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
It's a cracking spot for catching live sports like football or rugby on their multiple HD screens – perfect for a match day with mates.
-
The drinks are inexpensive with some unbeatable offers, making it easy on the wallet for a casual night out.
-
The atmosphere has really picked up lately, feeling more welcoming and community-oriented, which is great for regulars.
-
Location-wise, it's spot on – right near Tesco, the train and bus stations, with free parking nearby, so it's dead convenient to pop in.
Cons
-
The toilets are in a right state, which can put a damper on things and make you think twice about staying long.
-
Some folks have mentioned the bar staff coming across as a bit arrogant, which isn't ideal when you're just after a friendly chat.
-
It's a shame they don't serve any food, so if you're peckish, you'll have to head elsewhere for a bite.
-
There are reports of flies buzzing about, which isn't the most appealing for a relaxed pint.

Got to be the worst pub I've ever had the misfortune to drink in toilets disgusting flies all over pub and bar staff very arrogant I wouldn't go in again if it was free beer
Good pub dont do food though
You can watch the latest premiership football matches on the big screen inside the pub,
The Pub is right opposite Tesco Superstore Landmark location in Rotherham which is near to the train station and the bus station and you have free parking available in a nearby car park.
If you don’t want to venture too much into the town centre, then the plough is just the right pub for you.
Good beer, classic atmosphere and more screens than you could possibly need for football. Would return if back in the area.
Been coming here for years, but I must say since it's been taken over by someone else it's really cleaned up the atmosphere. Don't seem to have all the idiots in their anymore. Well done guys keep up the hard work your all putting into such a lovely pub
