About This Pub
Ah, The Peacock – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a laid-back day out in London. From the reviews I've seen, folks are raving about the food; that Sunday roast sounds like a winner, all juicy and packed with flavour, making it ideal for a weekend gathering. The staff come across as genuinely approachable and quick to help, which makes the whole experience feel personal and enjoyable. It's got this nice, spacious layout that keeps things relaxed even on busier days, and it's clear it's a welcoming place for everyone, whether you're popping in with the family or just mates for a catch-up. On the flip side, it's not without its drawbacks – the beer selection seems a tad slim, and if you're keen on cask ales, you might end up a bit let down if they're out of stock. All in all, with its high ratings and positive vibes, it's a solid choice for a good pub sesh, but keeping an eye on what's on tap could save a bit of disappointment.

It's a great spot for families or groups, offering just the right amount of buzz without being overwhelming, like that mix of old-school pub charm and modern touches.

The beer list is a bit limited, and you might find no cask ales available, which could disappoint if you're after a wider selection of brews.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Sunday Surprise at The Peacock
As Americans visiting London, we weren’t quite sure what to expect from a traditional Sunday roast—but wow, The Peacock truly delivered! The roast was absolutely delicious: hearty, flavorful, and incredibly filling. It felt like a warm, home-cooked meal with a touch of upscale comfort.
What really set this place apart, though, was the exceptional service. Coming from the U.S., we’re used to more attentive table service, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that The Peacock went above and beyond. The staff was friendly, efficient, and actually catered to our needs—yes, even down to putting more than three pieces of ice in our sodas (a small detail, but it says a lot!).
The prices were just right—great value for the quality and experience. Overall, The Peacock exceeded our expectations, and we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in London. Highly recommend!
Food is absolutely fantastic. Tried the soy glazed pork belly bites and sea bream -- both excellent. Beer list is limited but cold and fresh... Brixton tasting good when I'd tried it. Was disappointed they had no cask available at the time, but the warm and inviting ambiance and prompt service made up for that. Will definitely return.
3 days into our holiday we stumbled across this jem of a pub. A little old school. A little modern. The Sunday roast is absolutely drool worthy. The service is great. Everyone is approachable and quick to serve. Sophie in particular was super attentive making sure we always have whatever we needed.
Drinks flowed. Belly was filled. Vibe was great. We'll definitely be back for more before we head back home.
A lovely Morden pub, with a spacious feel to it. The staff were fantastic and friendly and very good at their jobs, I was so impressed with them all. The atmosphere was really good, very busy but still felt very relaxing. The most important thing was the food, it was very very good. I was very impressed with it, clearly cooked with care and pride. Great experience.
Excellent gem of a find, old Wetherspoons location right across from Angel. We went with 3 kids and 2 grandparents (7 total) in the late afternoon on Saturday - Wales vs. England 6 Nations was on TV - just the right amount of atmosphere - not too quiet and not too loud. Food excellent. There is a secret kids menu you have to ask for. Desserts also good. Will be back
