About This Pub

You know, when you stumble upon a spot like The Parkbrook, it just feels like a hidden gem in Walsall – think hearty, home-cooked grub that's packed with flavour and made from quality ingredients, served up by staff who are genuinely warm and attentive, making every visit feel special. It's got that lovely, welcoming vibe, perhaps with a log fire to chase away the chill, and the prices are spot on for what you get. But honestly, it's a bit gutting to hear it's shut its doors for good after all those years; you'd have loved recommending it for a relaxed evening out or a catch-up with friends. Still, based on the buzz from folks who've been, it was clearly a winner for good times and tasty eats, and I reckon it's worth keeping in mind if it ever reopens, as it sounds like it nailed the essentials of a great pub experience.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely delicious and feels like it's been lovingly home-cooked with top-notch ingredients – it's a real treat for the taste buds.
  • Service is top drawer; the staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and go out of their way to make you feel at home.
  • It's excellent value for money, with meals that leave you satisfied without breaking the bank.
  • The atmosphere is warm and inviting, like settling in by a cosy log fire on a chilly evening – perfect for gatherings with mates.
Cons
  • Sadly, the place has closed its doors permanently, so it's no longer an option for a visit.
  • With it being shut, you miss out on that reliable spot for a good meal and chat, which is a real shame given the rave reviews.

We pre booked for a gathering of friends that did extend by a few. The alterations was freely extended and fully facilitated. The food was delicious, beautifully severed with exceptional service. Absolutely recommend a visit and will return again. The cost, exeptional value. Thank you as extremely well managed from start to finish.

We wanted to make the most of being able to have some time together without the little ones, we visited here and wasn't disappointed at all! Brilliant staff, so kind and talkative, food was amazing!! Tasty, and homemade, you could tell they take pride in what they are serving and not just like the chain restaurants out there. Prices were good too, we had so much to choose from on the menu. We will definitely be returning, it may not look the best from the outside, however please don't let this put you off. This is a traditional restaurant that requires a visit, amazing!! Thank you to all your lovely, smiling staff, too!

Look no further if you're in the area. It's our go-to restaurant when we are visiting family nearby. Fabulous home cooked food, with quality ingredients, served with great service and warm friendly staff. Warm yourself by the log fire on arrival. It's a little gem that is so easily overlooked when driving by. It also has a great variety on the children's and vegetarian menus.
