About This Pub

Ah, The Owington Farm – it's one of those pubs that really pulls you in with its welcoming atmosphere and solid food offerings. I have to say, the staff are an absolute delight; they're always on hand with a smile and make you feel like you're chatting with old mates from the get-go. The menu's a winner too, packed with fresh, sizzling grills and burgers that are cooked just right, plus they've got thoughtful options for vegetarians and vegans, which is great if you're out with a mixed group. And the prices? Dead reasonable, especially with those daily deals that let you treat yourself without the guilt. It's clear they're invested in the community, helping out with fundraisers and such, which gives it that extra feel-good factor. On the flip side, though, the music can crank up a notch and make conversations a bit of a shout-fest, and if you're after a wide range of beers, you might be a tad disappointed with the choices on offer. Plus, when it's buzzing – which it often is – waits for food can drag on, so it's worth planning ahead. All in all, it's a solid spot for a fun night out or a family meal, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea if you prefer something more subdued. I'd definitely recommend giving it a go if you're in Billingham; it's got that genuine pub charm with a bit of sizzle!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always making you feel right at home.
  • The food is spot on – think juicy grills, sizzling skillets, and burgers that hit the spot, with great options for veggies and vegans too.
  • It's brilliant value for money, with daily deals and portions that leave you satisfied without breaking the bank.
  • They've got a real community spirit, supporting local charities and offering their function area for free – it's a proper local gem.
  • Plenty of reasons to pop in, whether it's for a catch-up with mates, watching the game, or just enjoying a relaxed meal.
Cons
  • The music can get a bit too loud at times, making it hard to chat without raising your voice.
  • The beer selection is a tad limited, with options like John Smith's that might not excite the craft beer crowd.
  • Service can slow down when it's packed, so if you're in a rush, it might not be the best bet.

Was really busy. Quick bar service, food took a bit longer but every table was full. Great menu. Recommend chicken skewers and mega mixed grill. Down loaded app for points and offered. Definitely be back.

UPDATED: I was meeting family that were eating in, I only went down for drinks. Bar staff were very polite and friendly. I just had lunch here (04/03/2025) and I really enjoyed it. I had the steak & chicken. It tasted great and very succulent.

Not really my vibe to be honest. Music was really loud, though they did turn it down after we had been in a while (maybe heard us screaming at each other across the table) and terrible selection of beer (John Smith's). I guess if it's your local, you like loud music (I do, but not that music) and drink lager this place might be your ideal venue. Unfortunately I like a nice pint of beer and generally prefer to hear what the people I came out with and are sitting next to me are saying, so I'll stick to my usual haunts. Service was fine, not faulting the staff particularly, just wasn't my thing at all.
