About This Pub
Ah, The Old Bush Bar & Grill – it's one of those cosy spots in Tipton that just draws you in with its warm, inviting feel. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff and regulars make you feel right at home, and if you're there on a Saturday, you might catch a brilliant band belting out all the classics, which really lifts the spirits. The food's a highlight too; folks rave about the fresh, piping-hot curries and those garlic chips that are simply irresistible – it's no wonder it's got such a strong following. But, to keep it real, there are a few niggles; some have had trouble with food not being ready when promised or even finding it undercooked, and waits can stretch out a bit, which might put a dampener on things. Overall, with a solid 4.5 rating, it's a place I'd recommend for a relaxed catch-up with mates, as long as you go in with realistic expectations and maybe plan around the food service.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making it feel like a proper local spot where everyone knows how to have a good time.
-
The food is generally spot on, with fresh, flavoursome dishes like the delicious Murg Makani and those out-of-this-world garlic chips that keep you coming back.
-
They often have live music, such as bands playing all your favourite tunes on weekends, which really adds to the lively vibe.
-
It's affordably priced, so you can enjoy a cracking night out without worrying about the cost.
Cons
-
Food service can be a bit hit or miss, with times when it's not available even after being promised, which is a bit frustrating.
-
There have been some reports of undercooked meals or even odd items turning up in the food, like that plastic bit in the saag paneer – not ideal at all.
-
Wait times for food can drag on longer than expected, so it's worth checking ahead if you're planning to eat.

Have been a few times and even rang on occasions to ask if food been served at lunch time. Get told yes after 1pm. Go at 1pm to be told no food. Tried another weekend at lunch time after 1pm told yes food went down then told no food.
Went again recently told we could order food but there was a wait. Almost an hour later told no food that we ordered. Cancelled order.
Seems hit and miss on day for food at lunch time which is a shame.
A great friendly pub, we were made welcome by staff and locals alike. Also on Saturday night there was a band who were brilliant and played all our favourite songs...
Great food, good people what's not to like? Some of the nicest customers.... Did i mention the foods good
Excellent food. Piping hot, fresh, full of flavour and nicely presented. We had the Murg Makani which was delicious and the garlic chips were out of this world. Highly recommend. A hidden gem in the Black Country.
Ordered the food through Uber, chicken half cooked and plastic item in saag paneer. All seemed like not fresh at all
