About This Pub
Ah, The New Inn in Guiseley – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this fantastic old-school vibe that harks back to traditional village inns, with friendly faces behind the bar who make you feel right at home. The beers are spot on, and if you're in for a coffee, it's surprisingly good too. Plus, they spice things up with live music on Fridays, which is a nice touch for a casual night out. On the flip side, it's a shame about the music selection sometimes; it doesn't always gel with the cosy setting, like hearing something more suited to a club when you're expecting a quiet pint. And with no website to speak of, it's a bit of a faff to keep up with their hours or what's happening. Overall, though, with a solid 4.5 rating, it's clear this place has won over quite a few hearts since reopening under new management – I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area, just go in with an open mind and enjoy the good bits!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely spot on – it's got that classic, cosy village pub feel that makes you want to settle in for the evening.
-
Friendly staff who really make you feel welcome, just like chatting with locals down the road.
-
A great selection of beers and even a decent coffee if you're popping in for a quick one.
-
Live music on Fridays adds a bit of excitement and keeps things lively without overwhelming the place.
-
Prices are fair, like getting a pint of Guinness for £4.50, which feels like good value for a proper pub.
Cons
-
The music choice can sometimes feel out of place, like playing nightclub tunes in a quaint country setting, which might disrupt the relaxed vibe.
-
No website or online details make it tricky to check if they're open or what's on offer, which is a bit of a nuisance if you're planning a visit.
-
It had a spell of being closed, and while it's back up and running, there might still be some teething issues under the new management.

A lovely local type pub with friendly staff.
Quaint old school style village pub, nice staff pleasant decor and atmosphere. I'd visit again at £4.50 for a Guinness.
Nice enough place to call in whilst passing... lovely coffee, it struck us that the music played really doesn't fit the feel of the place .. was quite funny 😁.. nightclub music in a county feel pub
Great beers and great bar staff and a nice atmosphere
