About This Pub

Ah, The New Albert – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a relaxed get-together in Blackpool. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, it's got this welcoming vibe that's perfect if you're in the mood for a pint without breaking the bank. The selection of beers is brilliant, and the prices are so reasonable that you can easily settle in for the evening. It's packed with sports memorabilia and screens everywhere, making it a haven for footie fans or anyone who loves a bit of telly with their tipple. Plus, with outdoor seating, pool tables, a jukebox, and even bingo, there's plenty to keep things entertaining – I can imagine it being the ideal starting point for a night out with mates. On the flip side, though, it does lean heavily towards the sports crowd, so if that's not your thing, you might find it a tad one-dimensional. And honestly, while most folks rave about it, a couple of comments feel a bit lukewarm, like it's 'okay' rather than extraordinary. Still, with its comfortable indoor spots and friendly feel, it's worth a visit if you're after good value and a bit of fun – just don't expect a fancy website to help you plan ahead!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • They've got a cracking selection of beers and drinks at really reasonable prices, making it a wallet-friendly spot for a pint or two.
  • It's a top-notch sports bar with loads of memorabilia, plenty of screens to catch the game, and even outdoor seating for when the weather's nice.
  • The entertainment options are spot on – think three pool tables, a jukebox, and even bingo nights, perfect for kicking off a fun evening.
  • The indoor space is dead comfortable with cosy nooks, and the staff are accommodating, especially if you're visiting from out of town.
Cons
  • The website seems a bit tricky to access, which might make it harder to check out menus or events before you pop in.
  • It feels very sports-oriented, so if you're not into watching matches or playing pool, it might not be the most varied spot for a quiet chat.
  • Some reviews come across as just 'okay' rather than outstanding, suggesting it might not wow everyone, especially if you're after something more upscale.

A great friendly sports bar that is full of memorabilia for sports fan. It's worth a visit to check it all out. There plenty of screens to watch sport too. There is an outdoor seating area with plenty of tables. The indoors area is a very comfortable place with plenty of nooks if you like a more private drinking experience. They have a pool table too. The prices were not too expensive from what I remember. Well worth a visit.
