About This Pub
Ah, The Mill – what a gem of a pub down by the River Cam in Cambridge. I have to say, it's one of those places that just draws you in with its idyllic setting on the grassy banks, where you can sit out in the summer sunshine with a drink in hand or huddle up inside by a roaring fire when the weather turns chilly. The real ales are a highlight; they're so well-kept and have earned the pub some well-deserved CAMRA awards, making it ideal for anyone who appreciates a proper pint. The food doesn't disappoint either – think tasty burgers, generous Sunday roasts, and even a new spritz menu with options for everyone, including those opting for alcohol-free alternatives. Plus, the staff are absolute stars, always making you feel welcome, just like in that review where Ricardo turned a quick takeaway into a memorable experience. It's dog-friendly too, which adds to the relaxed, community vibe. On the flip side, though, keep in mind that the toilets have had a mixed report, with one person finding them a bit whiffy, and the prices are moderate, so it might stretch the budget if you're out for a casual night. All in all, it's a fantastic spot for catching up with mates or enjoying a bit of live music or events, but it's worth checking ahead if you're picky about the finer details – still, I'd recommend giving it a go for that authentic pub charm.

Had a fantastic experience at The Mill Pub in Cambridge yesterday, all thanks to Ricardo. We ordered two burgers for takeaway, and his suggestion was spot on – absolutely delicious! Ricardo was incredibly friendly, helpful, and made us feel really welcome even though we were just grabbing food to go. His great attitude and service truly stood out. Would definitely return just because of him. Top-notch hospitality!
L shape room. 8 h/ pulls + craft wood floor.+ hardwood bar top .beer and staff excellent very good feel to the pub
Fantastic pub on Mill Lane down by the river; never disappoints. We stopped in this time while waiting out a brief rain shower before going punting. Very pleased they had a roaring fire going to keep everyone warm and dry. Food here great. Will be back again!
Lamb Sunday Roast
I am trying to give reviews to all of the Cambridge pubs therefore entered this pub.
This pub provides lamb Sunday roast option. So far most of the Cambridge pubs do not have lamb options.
The portion was large, the prices were not the cheapest but reasonable. You would get what you pay for.
The generous slices of meat were good quality, without any strange taste or smell.
The potatoes were crispy and fluffy inside. The Yorkshire puddings were crispy. The root vegetables were not overcooked. Clearly the chef was very experienced in Sunday roast.
The tables and seats were clean. The toilet too. The service was great. Quiet side of Cambridge town centre.
Just not sure about the cauliflower side......
Location is perfect. Food is decent & reasonably priced. Service nothing short of outstanding. Only complaint the toilet was foul smelly on my visit. Nonetheless, recommended.
