About This Pub
Ah, the Bath House in Cambridge – it's one of those places that just feels like a proper local gem, tucked away in the bustling city centre. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff really go the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome, with quick service and a chatty vibe that turns a simple visit into a bit of a treat. The food's mostly a winner too; think hearty burgers and pies that go down a storm with a cold pint of Guinness or San Miguel. It's got that historic feel without being too stuffy, making it a great spot for a relaxed evening or even a family meal. But, let's keep it real, there are a few niggles – like the odd dish that doesn't quite deliver, such as those bland potatoes in the Sunday roast or fries that aren't as hot as you'd hope. Still, with its central location and welcoming atmosphere, it's well worth popping in for a laugh and a drink, especially if you're after somewhere that's not too rowdy. All in all, it's a solid choice that strikes a nice balance, even if it doesn't top the list for everyone.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is generally spot on, with delicious burgers and pies that really hit the spot and pair perfectly with a pint.
-
Service is brilliant – the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
It's got a lovely, lively atmosphere in the heart of Cambridge, ideal for a relaxed drink or a catch-up after a day out.
-
Plenty of great facilities like being dog-friendly and having WiFi, which makes it versatile for families or groups looking for a comfortable spot.
Cons
-
Some dishes can be a bit disappointing, like the bland potatoes in the Sunday roast that needed extra gravy to make them enjoyable.
-
It doesn't always stand out compared to other local pubs, as a few folks have noted it's not quite as buzzing as the competition.
-
Occasional issues with food temperature, such as fries that arrive just warm rather than piping hot, which can put a dampener on things.

Recent Reviews
The food was amazing, great taste and came out in good time. The service was amazing, Alesha and Alex were very welcoming and happy for a chat. They made the atmosphere feel great and I had a blast of a time, would highly recommend coming in and having a pint :)
Not as good as the eagle, but a great atmosphere in there. Just normal pub grub but that Guinness and San Miguel are very nice. Definitely good to go in there if you’re starting off the evening on a night out
The atmosphere in the Bath House was really good. A little quieter than the Anchor next door, but still historic in appearance. The service was quick and there was sufficient seating available without waiting. The staff were really friendly and the service was excellent. I ordered the flat iron steak which was cooked to perfection and from what I saw everything else on the menu was equally good. Next time I'm in Cambridge I will definitely go there again. Well worth a visit.
Classic Pub
Trying to write reviews for the Cambridge pubs therefore entered the restaurant.
The Sunday roast was in generous amount. Everything was okay except for the potatoes. The potatoes tasted so bland that required to dip the gravy to finish.
While the fries of the burger was just warm, not hot enough.
The staff were friendly and nice.
Cosy and clean environment. Seats are comfortable. Tables are not too close to each other.
It's located in the Cambridge town centre but the prices are surprisingly reasonable. Large portions of food.
Overall it's a reasonable restaurant.
Loved the pub food, I had the chicken burger which was up there for flavour, the other half had the pie with mashy peas which she consumed with passion. Washed down with local ale was a pleasant lunch time meal. Well worth stopping in.
