About This Pub
Ah, The Marlborough Tavern – what a delightful little find in the heart of Bath! I've got to say, it's one of those places that really captures the essence of a traditional pub while dishing out some seriously tasty grub. The food stands out as a real winner; think fresh, seasonal ingredients from local producers that make every bite feel special, whether you're tucking into a generous Sunday roast or sharing a scrumptious starter. The atmosphere is just lovely too – that courtyard garden is a hidden gem for a sunny afternoon, and the overall vibe is warm and inviting, perfect for unwinding with mates or enjoying a family meal. The staff are an absolute treat, always on hand with a smile and efficient service that keeps things running smoothly. On the brighter side, it's super welcoming for dogs and families alike, adding to that homely feel. But, let's be honest, it's not all roses; some of the drinks, like the wine, can feel a tad expensive, and there have been a few grumbles about minor things like cold plates that might leave you wishing for a bit more polish. Still, with its rich history and prime location, it's a solid choice for anyone looking for a good night out in Bath – just keep an eye on the bill and book ahead if you can!

Had the Sunday beef roast here and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was excellent—cozy, quiet, and surprisingly spacious. Everything felt clean and well looked after, which made for a really comfortable dining experience. A great spot if you're looking for a relaxed place to enjoy a traditional roast without the usual crowd or noise.
The charcuterie starter was tasty.
The Sunday Roast was decent, potatoes were less exceptional, but the Yorkshire pudding was really good.
Sticky toffee pudding was delicious.
Service was outstanding.
Amazing place.. definitely not cheap but absolutely worth it. Good quality , easy going staff, quick in service and lovely fireplace plus friendly for our dogs..what next to ask for ?
Great pub in the heart of Bath. The wine is expensive and £6,20 for non alcoholic Guinness is terrible!
The food is great, shame the plates were cold though!
Very friendly and efficient service followed by very well priced wine, which quenched our thirst! We shared a starter, which had us ravenous for our main course as it was so scrumptious! The mains were generous portions of hearty food, which had us fulfilled on a cold winter day. Our only regret is not coming here sooner!
