About This Pub

You know, when I think about The Leicester Inn, it's got that quintessential pub charm that makes you feel right at home – the friendly owners and crowd really add to the atmosphere, and you'll find reasonable prices on a decent range of drinks, perfect for catching up with mates over a game of pool or watching the footie. There's even some outside seating if you fancy a breather. But honestly, it's not all roses; the beer can be a bit hit or miss, and I've heard a few grumbles about the bar staff not being the chattiest. Plus, the place does look like it could use a freshen-up – the toilets and floors can be quite grubby, and it gets proper packed, turning up the volume in a way that might overwhelm if you're after a quiet evening. All in all, it's a solid choice for a casual night in Coalville, as long as you go in with realistic expectations and keep an eye on the basics.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The owners and customers are really friendly, making it feel like a proper welcoming local spot.
  • Prices on drinks are reasonable, so you won't break the bank for a pint or two.
  • There's a good selection of beers and drinks, plus plenty of pub activities like watching sports or using the outside seating area.
  • It's got that lively atmosphere with things to do, which keeps things entertaining on a night out.
Cons
  • The beer quality isn't always up to scratch, which can put a dampener on things.
  • Bar staff can seem a bit unfriendly at times – a smile would go a long way to brighten up the experience.
  • Cleanliness is a real issue, especially in the toilets and around the pool table, which often looks messy.
  • The place feels a tad tired and could do with a refurb; it gets cramped and noisy, which might not suit everyone.

Beer wasnt great, I think it would have hurt the barmaids to crack a smile (definitely didn't go for happy hour) pool table was covered in beer stains. Pee all over toilet and floor not a great experience.

Room for improvement. Needs some cleanliness, especially toilets, refurbishment. Usually bussy, gets cramped up and loud, although some people like it. Parking area. Offers good selection of drinks considering its a small place, can watch sports and outside seating area. Usual local pub.

Good selection of beers / drinks. Looking a bit tired could do with freshening up. Especially the lavatories
