About This Pub
Ah, The Last Zebra – it's one of those places that really hits the spot for a laid-back night out in Carlisle. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is where they shine brightest; folks rave about the tasty curries, fresh roasts, and even the kids' options, with everything packed full of flavour and served up in hearty portions that leave you satisfied. The staff are an absolute delight, always friendly and ready to make your visit memorable, whether you're there for a quick brunch or a full evening with cocktails in hand. They've got a great atmosphere too, with live music and social posts hinting at fun events that keep things lively without being overwhelming. On the flip side, it can get a bit expensive for everyday outings, and while most meals are spot on, there have been a few mentions of small niggles like not-so-perfect spuds, but the team steps up to make it right. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're after a welcoming spot to enjoy good grub and drinks with friends – just keep an eye on those booking fees to avoid any surprises!

We came here on a recommendation from a lady at the military museum in the castle and we are so glad we did! The best food we had all week and very good service too.
We had halloumi fries, broccoli and green beans with Parmesan, chunky fried fish as a three dishes deal (£26) plus chicken kebabs. Really great beers too
Yummy food, good selection of drinks (alcoholic & non alcoholic). Good atmosphere. Great staff.
Absolutely amazing, would definitely recommend. The food is a bit pricey, but the portion size and flavour is absolutely worth it. The staff were lovely and it was an overall amazing experience. I had the ruby curry naan and it was amazing.
Very nice little restaurant, friendly happy staff and a banging roast! I was a little disappointed that the potatoes were hard , but it was a little later in the evening so I understand, and the waiter kindly got me some fresh! The cheesecake of the day was incredible - best cheesecake I've ever had!
I visited this restaurant in the latter stages of November 2024 during a day trip to Carlisle, and the excitement I had beforehand was met by pure excellence in every regard. The waitresses were remarkably friendly and were ready to have a chat with me about my visit to Carlisle. In terms of food, the menu is quite large, and I felt as though I was spoilt for choice as a result, but I ended up ordering a buttermilk chicken burger with sweet potato fries, and it was as scrumptious as ever. I must also state that the restaurant has a peaceful atmosphere and a really interesting interior design, especially with the zebra head. If you are ever in Carlisle, I strongly recommend that you visit this establishment.. You won't be disappointed
