Good food for a local pub...Impressed! Decent value as value for lunch

I didn’t expect this place to have the food that they had, very unexpected but woow everything was cooked to perfection the burger had the most amazing flavour I can’t explain how good it tasted we will defiantly be back.

Came for a quick drink. Really nice place located right in the centre. Good choice of drinks at reasonable prices. Service was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great vibe to the place. Roof garden which wasn't open when we went. They have darts night, chess night, and probably lots of other things. Probably the best pub in Bexley heath.

We visited the Kings Arms on Monday 14th April and was really disappointed with the service provided. We arrived at 2:30pm with our 2 young children and waited at the bar for 10-15 minutes to be seated for a meal, no staff were around. Once Michelle came out we didn’t receive a warm welcome or an apology for the wait. We had friends meeting us so she pushed 2 round tables together for us to sit down together which was fine. We were then sat down and ignored for another 15 minutes - we weren’t given menus or asked if we wanted any drinks. Our kids were getting restless after waiting half an hour, So I helped myself to the menus and went back up to the bar to order as no luck being served at our table. I was told a bday party had come in without booking so they had been busy but still no apology for lack of table service. I ordered our drinks and meals and headed back to our table and put our menus back. The food came out which was all really delicious and was served by a friendly young lad. Our friends arrived and received a warm welcome, hugs, smiles and lots of chat throughout the afternoon which seemed to highlight how differently we were treated. On the way home our friends asked how much our bill was and I realised we had been overcharged for the kids drinks which should have been free with their meals during the half term promotion. A small error but just another thing which added to the bad experience. We have visited loads of times and had great service before but unfortunately we won’t be returning in a hurry, a real shame as the food is great.

Can always guarantee having a good time and good food where we come. Service is friendly and welcoming. The menu is often changing with the seasons, never had the same thing twice. Cocktails are amazing. Offers quiz nights, bingo nights, movie nights and live music. I would recommend.
