We had a fantastic experience at The Heathcote on a busy Sunday! They were more than happy to accommodate our booking over the phone, which was greatly appreciated. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Amelia and Keeley, who went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. We were dining with an infant and two dogs (a Pomeranian and a Pomsky), and it was wonderful to see how dog-friendly and family-oriented the atmosphere was. Not only were the staff attentive, but even the surrounding guests were kind and welcoming. One of the highlights was when the chef personally brought out a tupperware of carvery scraps for the dogs – such a thoughtful and heartwarming touch! The carvery itself was absolutely delicious and amazing value for money. The portions were generous, with a hearty serving of meat carved by a friendly chef, and a great variety of fresh, well-prepared vegetables. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable visit, and we left feeling full, happy, and grateful. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Visited this pub on mother's day. Had a great pod outside that was heated. We all went with the intention of having the carvery but the menu looked that nice we all had something of that. Me and my wife had the mixed grill and lamb shank. Gorgeous

I would've given 5 stars as you certainly can't fault the service however, I don't mind paying £20 for a mixed grill but mine arrived without the advertised onion rings and a very small piece of chicken. The food was very nice indeed 😋 👌🏻 and we didn't wait long for it to arrive and the place was rammed full.

Had the lunch special at The Heathcote on a quiet Monday afternoon. The food was good - great value for money (17 pounds for two 'light' lunches). The service was excellent. The setting is really nice. Will definitely return
