About This Pub

Oh, The Healey in Rochdale is one of those pubs that really warms the cockles, isn't it? From what I've gathered from the buzz around, it's got this great mix of traditional charm and solid grub – think hearty Sunday lunches that hit the spot without breaking the bank, and specials like that rump steak that's apparently cooked to perfection. The real ales from Robinsons are spot on too, ideal if you're after a proper pint in a relaxed setting. And let's not forget the little touches, like being dead welcoming to dogs and having a smashing beer garden with a Boules pitch for a bit of outdoor banter. Service-wise, folks rave about how friendly and quick it is, which always makes for a pleasant evening out. But, to keep it real, it's not all roses – it can get a bit rowdy when there's a party on, which might not suit if you're after a peaceful catch-up. Plus, I've heard a couple of gripes about things like sauces being overly spicy, and it's a shame the opening times aren't clearer online, so you might end up faffing about with plans. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for a meal with mates or a family get-together, especially if you're nearby Healey Dell for a walk. I'd say give it a go – it's got that genuine pub feel that keeps people coming back.

Came on a Sunday mid afternoon. We hadn't booked, but we were seen and seated quickly. Service was quick and they looked after our dog by bringing water for her. Sunday lunch was a good price and very tasty. We will return, thanks 👍

Overall, excellent. I’ve been twice to this pub/restaurant with my girlfriend, my dearest mother and my sister. On both occasions the food has been brilliant and the service impeccable. On the second visit, atmosphere was rather noisy, however it was somebody birthday party so can’t really complain - it was their weekend too. Overall, I think business deserves fantastic recognition for food, service and atmosphere. In terms of cleanliness, again, can’t really complain. Very clean. Next time I’m up north I shall be visiting again.

Had their rump steak from specials board. Oh. My. Goodness - please make this a regular on your menu. Cooked exactly to my liking, exceptionally good quality piece of meat!! Served with chips and salad, opted to add their Stilton sauce (which has added chillies and that day was a little too many, but still tasty). Others had cheese and onion pie which they really enjoyed. Always a great place (and local) to eat/drink

Visited The Healey on a Thursday evening having first made a reservation. I hadn't been for over ten years and I was pleasantly surprised at how much it had improved. The service was super friendly and well organised. The menu is pretty good with a decent range of options. Price for two people was under £40 including drinks. Well worth a visit.
