About This Pub

Ah, The Hansom Cab – it's one of those London pubs that really captures the essence of a good old British boozer, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are absolute gems; they're polite, helpful, and make you feel like you're chatting with mates behind the bar. The beer selection is spot on, with excellent real ale that's got folks coming back for more, and the food doesn't disappoint either – think proper fish and chips or a surprisingly tasty salad if you're after something lighter. It's got that cozy, quaint feel that's perfect for whiling away an evening, especially in a lively area like Earls Court. But, and I have to be straight with you, the prices are a bit of a sting; splashing out £8.20 on a pint might not sit well if you're watching the pennies. Still, with a solid 4.3 rating overall, it's clear most people reckon it's worth it for the experience. If you're popping by, I'd say go for it on a sunny afternoon or a quiet Sunday – just keep an eye on that tab!

  • The food is a real highlight, with tasty options like hearty fish and chips or fresh, flavourful salads that hit the spot.

There's nothing particularly wrong with this pub. The decor is fine, the staff pleasant but the prices abhorrent. I consider myself a fairly regular drinker in many types of establishments. However, £8.20 for a pint, granted an IPA, in zone 2 is frankly horrifying. It is the first time I've gone £8+ in a zone 2 boozer and it will hopefully be the last until 2040.

I have been to this place twice and it’s everything I want in an English pub: cozy, cute/quaint, and, most importantly, excellent cask conditioned real ale. This is the only London pub I’ve been to twice, so I think that alone speaks highly of it,

Friendly staff, good beer, awesome fish and chips. Also, if you look close, most of the pubs in the Kensington area are owned by 1 or 2 companies. I chose this place because it wasn’t and enjoyed a lovely Sunday evening with a pint and a meal.

I was absolutely blown away by the portion of this rich, flavourful salad. I was hesitant to have lunch at a pub because I was craving something healthier than fish and chips, but I luckily stumbled upon this pub on the way to Holland Park. Too early to drink beer, but the selection seems to be top-notch.
