About This Pub

Ah, The Hampton Ale House – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, you know? From the reviews I've had a look at, the staff are an absolute delight; they really shine when it comes to handling special dietary requests, whipping up personalised meals that leave you feeling well cared for. The food itself is a highlight too – think hearty roasts and tempting specials that folks rave about, all served up in a cosy, friendly setting that's ideal for a laid-back evening. Plus, they've got some brilliant deals on drinks and meals throughout the week, like cut-price pints or wine nights, and the live entertainment on weekends adds a fun touch to keep things lively. On the other hand, it's tucked away a bit in Hampton, so if you're not in the area, it might take a bit of effort to get there, and with not many recent reviews popping up, it could be hit or miss in terms of how busy it is these days. All in all, it's worth popping in for a pint and a bite if you're nearby – just go with an open mind and you'll likely have a cracking time!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The service is absolutely brilliant – they go above and beyond for dietary needs, like creating personalised dishes that make everyone feel looked after.
  • The food is spot on, with tasty options like roasts, burgers, and specials that come highly praised for being fresh and well-prepared.
  • It has a warm and friendly atmosphere, perfect for relaxing with a pint and enjoying the vibe, especially with live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays.
  • Great value for money with all sorts of deals, such as cheap pints on Mondays or discounted wines and steaks midweek.
  • They've got nice facilities like a beer garden and showings of TNT and Sky Sports, making it a solid spot for watching the game or catching up with mates.
Cons
  • It's a tad out of the way in Hampton, which might make it tricky to get to if you're not local – feels a bit hidden away.
  • Not many recent reviews to go on, so it could be quieter than expected or not as buzzing as in the past.
  • The operating hours seem a bit muddled in places, which might confuse things when you're trying to plan a visit.

I held a Christmas work lunch here and the service was impeccable! The chef came out to talk to one of my staff who is a celiac and made personalised courses for them (which looked delicious). The service was unmatched by any other restaurant I’ve been to and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. I highly recommend this venue. Especially for events.

I had my work Christmas lunch here, and as someone who is both vegetarian and gluten-free, I can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The chef went above and beyond, preparing personalized dishes to accommodate my dietary needs, and was incredibly thoughtful about it. Our waiter, Rebecca, was warm, friendly, and equally understanding, making the whole experience feel like 5-star treatment. I highly recommend this restaurant, along with the chef and Rebecca. Truly amazing people in an amazing place!

I was passing by The Hampton last Sunday, fancied a roast, and thought, why not? So I popped in. I ordered the roast lamb, and wow, I was not disappointed! Not only was there plenty of meat, but it was so tender! All the veggies were cooked to perfection and even Chef came to casually ask if everything was satisfactory. I've included a photo of Simon. Thank you, lovely roastie. His name is actually Sz-something, sorry, can't remember! Recently refurbished as well.

Where to start?? My mum had her 72nd birthday there, we ordered a mini buffet for £50 and was perfect. This place is amazing for a function and the staff could not be any more helpful. The venue is decorated nicely and drinks are a good price. The coffee is amazing, as good (if not better) than some major coffee shops. Thank you for a amazing party!
