About This Pub
You know, I recently popped into the Jolly Coopers and Squiffy's Restaurant, and it's one of those places that just feels like a proper English pub with a twist. They've been dishing out pub food and fusion tapas since 1986, and it's clear why it's a favourite – the meals are spot on, with fresh local ingredients making everything taste that bit more special. The staff are an absolute joy, always up for a laugh and making sure you're looked after, whether it's for a quick bite or one of their gourmet evenings. If you're staying over, the apartments are a nice touch, all done up nicely for a comfortable night. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect; a couple of pals mentioned getting caught out by dishes that were way spicier than expected, and the noise can ramp up in the conservatory area, which might not suit everyone. Parking's a right faff too, so plan ahead if you're driving. All in all, it's a cracking spot for a get-together, with more highs than lows, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in Hampton – just keep those points in mind for a smoother experience.
Pros and Cons

-
It's got a high rating overall, with most folks raving about the gourmet nights and summer BBQs that are a real highlight.
Cons
-
Some dishes can be surprisingly spicy without any warning on the menu, which might put off those who prefer milder flavours.
-
The atmosphere can get quite loud in places, making it a bit tricky for a relaxed chat over dinner.
-
Parking around the area is a nightmare – you'll probably end up walking a bit or hunting for spots elsewhere.

Great tapas room at back of traditional local pub. Tasty well cooked food and good prices. Beer and drinks at meal time are same as in pub so reasonable.
Ordered the meat trio skewers with Spanish rice …and it was tooo spicy to eat!! Nowwhere did the menu mention that it is a spicy dish and when I asked if I can have something else, I was told another portion of non spicy rice will arrive and it never did! Very disappointing…very loud in the conservatory so couldn’t talk to each other, not recommended!
Lovely people, lovely food and lovely apartment - we had the best time! Some friends and I were off to see a band at the Hampton Hub and found these beautiful apartments above the old Jolly Coopers pub. Finished to a very high standard, the rooms are stylish, spotless and immaculate. We were able to park right outside when we arrived, before a much-needed cuppa from the fully stocked kitchenette. Then drinks and delicious tapas downstairs in Squiffy's restaurant, before heading off to the gig. Back in time for a little nightcap too - result!
We can't thank you enough - everyone we met here was so friendly and efficient, and everything about the place is generous and welcoming. Highly recommended xx
First time at The Jolly Coopers and I wasn’t disappointed at all.
Staff are so welcoming and lovely, the food was amazing.
Can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu.
My only gripe is that the parking around the area is nonexistent. Which I would like to add isn’t the fault of The Jolly Coopers.
Would I go back?? Oh hell YES!!!!
Invited to the Coopers for a friend's 50th. They could not do enough to look after all the guests. Tapas selection was excellent and very tasty. A really lovely pub with great food and staff. Thank you for looking after us all and making Sue's birthday brilliant.
