About This Pub

Oh, let me tell you about The Goat & Boot – it's one of those hidden gems that really hits the spot for a relaxed evening out. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are the real stars; folks like Batu and Hayley go out of their way to make you feel at home with their friendly chats and efficient service, which is just what you want after a long day. The food sounds spot on too, with delicious options that pair perfectly with a clean pint, and the atmosphere is proper cosy, making it easy to settle in for a good natter. On the flip side, it's a shame there's no website to quickly look up the details, and with doors opening around midday, it might not suit those of us who fancy an early tipple. All in all, it's a solid choice for a local haunt, and I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area – just keep in mind those little niggles to manage your expectations.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely brilliant – they're so welcoming and friendly, making every visit feel like catching up with old mates.
  • The food is delicious with a great selection, perfect for a proper pub grub experience.
  • Pints are always clean and well-poured, which is a real treat for anyone who appreciates a good drink.
  • It's got a cosy, warm atmosphere that's ideal for relaxing and having a chat, plus that beautiful garden sounds like a summer highlight.
Cons
  • There isn't a website, so it's a bit tricky to check the menu or hours online – you might have to pop in or give them a ring.
  • Opening times start around lunchtime, which means it's not the spot for early morning stops if you're after a quick breakfast pint.

This pub has completely turned around with a great new set of landladies and staff. The pints are clean and the food is delicious. Batu has been serving us tonight and has been a great example of the staff this pub employee's.
