About This Pub
Ah, The Four Horseshoes – it's one of those unpretentious pubs in Luton that just hits the spot for a relaxed evening out. From what I've gathered from the reviews, most folks absolutely love the place for its warm atmosphere and the staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome, like you're chatting with old friends over a pint. The beers are a highlight too; think a flawless Guinness or a bargain Cruzcampo that doesn't break the bank, paired with a jukebox and football on the screens for that authentic pub feel. It's got this lively charm with interesting characters popping in, making it a great spot for a laugh and some good craic. On the flip side, though, it's not all roses – one review mentioned it feeling a bit dead at times, more like a quiet corner than a buzzing hive, and that's fair if you're hoping for non-stop energy. Service is reliable but not standout, and without a website, you might have to wing it a bit when planning a visit. Overall, it's a dependable choice for us pub enthusiasts; swing by if you're up for a no-fuss night, but keep in mind it might vary depending on the day. I'd say it's worth a go for the positives alone!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is always welcoming and lively, with friendly staff that make you feel right at home – perfect for a casual catch-up with mates.
-
They've got a great selection of beers, like a perfectly poured Guinness or Cruzcampo at a reasonable £3.70 a pint, which is a win for anyone watching their wallet.
-
It's got that classic pub vibe with football on the telly and a decent jukebox, plus some colourful locals that add to the fun and chatter.
-
As a local spot in Luton, it's ideal for a few pints and a bit of banter, making it a must-visit if you're in the area.
Cons
-
It can sometimes feel a bit flat or lifeless, especially on quieter nights, which might put you off if you're after a buzzing crowd every time.
-
Service is generally okay but nothing extraordinary, so if you're expecting top-notch attention, it might not quite hit the mark.
-
With no website listed, it's a tad tricky to check out the latest details online before heading over, which could be a minor hassle.

Brilliant little local proper real pub, football, decent jukebox andlively characters and cruizcampo at £3.70 a pint....brilliant! Must go pub in Luton.
Always a great atmosphere. Friendly staff
Service was ok , but my god - there is more life in a morgue. Unfortunately most pubs in Luton going the same way.
I only had a drink but the Guinness was perfect sticks to the glass all the way down like it should..wow
Been twice recently on visits back to Luton. Friendly local pub with a lovely bar lady (may be the owner). Enjoyable pub for a few pints and a bit of craic.
