About This Pub

Ah, The Eagles Corner – what a gem of a pub in Arnold, isn't it? I've got to say, it's one of those places that just makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The food's a real highlight; I mean, who could resist those perfectly flaky fish and chips or a hearty burger that's as delicious as it looks? And at moderate prices, it's easy on the wallet too. The team behind the bar are just lovely, always with a smile and ready to sort you out, whether you're popping in for a coffee or hosting something special like a baby shower. It's spot on for families, with kids' options that are actually award-winning, and don't even get me started on the beer garden – it's a brilliant spot for a sunny afternoon with the dog in tow. They've got all the extras sorted, like free WiFi and a wide range of drinks to suit everyone, plus events that keep things fun. On the flip side, though, the opening times can be a tad confusing if you're not checking ahead, and it does get buzzing on busier days, which might not be everyone's cup of tea if you fancy a quieter nook. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good night out – I'd definitely recommend giving it a go for that authentic pub experience with a bit of heart.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot on – think cracking fish and chips or juicy burgers that leave you wanting more, all at a fair price.
  • The staff are an absolute delight, always friendly and going out of their way to make sure everyone's happy, whether it's for a quick bite or a special event.
  • It's super family-friendly and dog-friendly too, with a lovely beer garden that's perfect for soaking up the sun or enjoying a quiet moment.
  • They've got a great vibe for catching up with mates, plus free WiFi and things like quizzes and sports on the telly to keep things lively.
  • The drinks selection is brilliant, from real ales and cocktails to low-alcohol options, and there are some cracking deals like two mains for a steal.
Cons
  • The opening hours can seem a bit muddled at times, which might catch you out if you're planning a visit on a whim.
  • It can get quite busy, especially during events or peak times, so you might have to wait for a table or deal with a bit of a crowd.
  • As it's a proper pub, the atmosphere can be on the lively side, which isn't ideal if you're after somewhere really peaceful for a chat.

First time here and I'll certainly be back again! I ordered the fish and chips and my partner ordered the cheeseburger. Presentation was a solid 10/10, food tasted as good as it looked. One of the best fish and chips I've had, the flakey fish, crunchy beer batter and great colour on the chips. Service was also top marks and was great value for money, especially during the week. Fully recommended!

I had a fantastic dinner there. Food was good to a very good price, and enjoyed the atmosphere. Staff was really lovely and making sure we were ok, can't wait to repeat with them. Saw on the leaflets that they are doing special dinners for Christmas time, and looked lovely.

Stopped by for a quick bite to eat and a drink. Had the 2 mains for £13.50 deal. Chicken burger & Chicken salad. Staff are friendly and our doggies were most welcome. Sat out the back while the sun was out for 5mins.
