About This Pub

Ah, The Eagle – it's one of those cosy spots in Shepherd's Bush that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is an absolute winner; folks rave about the fish and chips being the best in the area, and the Sunday roasts sound like they're cooked to perfection, with juicy meats and flavour-packed sides that leave you satisfied. That garden out back is a real treat too – imagine sipping a drink in the sunshine or hosting a get-together there; it's perfect for making memories with mates. The vibe inside is so inviting, with a relaxed feel that makes it easy to settle in for the evening. On the downside, it's a bit of a letdown for beer enthusiasts, as the real ale options are pretty slim, with just one type available, which might have you heading elsewhere if that's your thing. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good meal and a chat, especially if you're after that community pub feel, but it'd be even better with a wider drink selection to round it out.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • Fantastic food offerings, like their top-notch fish and chips and Sunday roasts that keep everyone coming back for more
  • A beautiful garden area that's ideal for gatherings, relaxing with friends, or even bringing the family on a sunny day
  • A warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home from the moment you step in
  • Friendly staff who really go the extra mile to ensure you're having a great time
Cons
  • Limited selection of real ales, which might leave beer lovers feeling a bit short-changed with just one option on tap

Love everything about this place - so happy it’s my neighbourhood pub. Their fish and chips is so underrated, I’d say it’s the best in this area! They have a lovely garden in the back, perfect for parties or gatherings.

Had an amazing Sunday roast here—easily one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Everything was cooked to perfection, from the meat to the roasties, and the whole plate was packed with flavour. The pub itself has a great atmosphere, beautiful Garden really warm and welcoming. Big shoutout to every staff who weee really Amazing and friendly working that day— attentive, and made the experience even better. Definitely coming back soon!

No real beer choice. Four hand pull taps in this pub for real ale, all four had Youngs London Original on! I mean it is a pretty boring non-exciting Ale as it goes, but that is a terrible range of choice (or complete lack of choice). I walked out. Must do better !!

The Eagle is a nice pub in a quiet area of West London. The pub has a large indoor seating area, with a small seating area out the front and a very large beer garden at the back, that is perfect to bring the children. There is a good quality food menu available. Would definitely recommend you stop by.

We had a great experience as always, we were served by Marco and he was great, Sonia was consistently checking in and making effort to make sure everyone was happy and the lovely Errol made the most amazing steak! The only downside was outside of the staffs control but there was a very obnoxious customer next to us who thought he was at the ritz perhaps and expected to be overly demanding, complain loudly to poor Sonia about both steaks not being good enough (he asked for rare, both steaks were clearly rare) he was awful to sit beside and we spent half our time starring at him and his obnoxious attitude the majority of out last hour there. Luckily he left once he’d definitely crossed the line by trying to embarrass and ‘humble’ the staff. Our experience went back to great once he left. He didn’t pay his bill either which was more shocking than the multiple meltdowns he had in front of everyone. This man should be barred and the staff definately don’t deserve to be talked to or treated that way at all, not when the rest of the customers were full, enjoying a drink and feeling super zen. I haven’t been to the eagle for quite some time now due to moving and other than the entitled customer who attempted numerous time to cause a scene, zero responsibility or fault of the staff or establishment. It was very much him. If I hadn’t experienced his behaviour and disrespect it would be 5* all round. Service and food - exceptional 5* Atmosphere - again the pub and staff always make it great but I gave 3 star solely for the amount of times my conversations were interrupted by his man tantrums. Or it would also be 5* I commend the staff for staying professional even when being disrespected. Sonia did a great job of defusing it and getting him to be quiet. This was right before he walked out and didn’t even attempt to pay his food bill. Glad I’m not in hospitality anymore but credit the staffs patience! I’ll be back next week! 🫶🏼
