About This Pub
You know, chatting about The Drawbridge in Rotherham, it's got that cosy pub charm that's just right for a relaxed get-together. I love how the staff are so friendly and attentive – they really make an effort to ensure everything's spot on, whether it's checking ingredients for allergies or helping with accessibility. The Sunday carvery stands out as a proper winner, with heaps of tasty options like perfectly cooked veg and juicy meats that leave you satisfied without breaking the bank. It's also brilliant for families or if you've got a furry friend in tow, as it's dog-friendly and easy to navigate. On the flip side, it's a bit of a letdown that the carvery's only on Sundays these days, and some folks have mentioned the food not being piping hot, which can make a good meal feel just okay. All in all, it's a solid choice for a casual visit, especially if you time it right, but it might not be perfect every time out.

Cons
-
The carvery is only available on Sundays now, which can be disappointing if you're hoping for it on other days.

Some dishes aren't served hot enough, which takes the edge off an otherwise nice meal.
-
There have been a few changes since the takeover, leading to inconsistencies that might not live up to what regulars remember.

Absolutely gutted, We have always gone to the Drawbridge for carvery as it's quick and easy and consistent, we haven't been for a while but popped in today to find it's been taken over (same lovley staff though) and the carvery is no longer on other than Sunday's which was disappointing. We ate off the menu the food was fine but didn't live up to how the menu made it seem. It was so quiet and virtually empty, end of an era for the Drawbridge no more carvery on tap 😢
Sunday lunchtime carvery today for 3 of us. No longer a Stonehouse pub.
Booked for 1pm but was surprised how quiet it was.
The carvery was great, especially good that the veg was nicely cooked and not underdone like many places, but the food needed to be much hotter. It doesn't help that the plates weren't warm so the food did go cold far to quick so a little disappointed.
But will be back in a few months to try again.
We had such a lovely time at The Drawbridge for Mother’s Day! From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel so welcome and really went the extra mile to make the day special.
The carvery was amazing, plenty of delicious meats, crispy roast potatoes, and fresh veg, all cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, making it a perfect to spend time with my mum and brother.
Huge thanks the team for making our visit so great. We’ll definitely be back!
We visited today for the first as it was halfway for the family to meet and dog friendly so we could bring the dogs along.
With a wheelchair user the accessibility was easy.
With a family member having an allergy the staff were attentive and checked ingredients for us and went above and beyond.
We had the carvery and it was beautiful. The best we’ve had in a while.
Thank you for making our visit a great experience. I am sure we will be back.
Popped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning around 10am, it wasn't too busy and there was plenty of hot food. The breakfast itself was delicious with plenty of choice and self service. The staff were equally great - friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again when we're in town.
