About This Pub

Ah, the Ring O Bells – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a reliable mate, you know? Tucked away in Rotherham, it's part of the Hungry Horse bunch, offering up solid, no-fuss dining that's perfect if you're after something hearty without spending a fortune. From what I've gathered from folks' chats online, the food really shines – big, juicy burgers on sizzler plates, chips that hit the spot, and even garlic bread done just right, all for prices that make you wonder why you'd go anywhere else. The staff? They're gems, always up for a laugh or helping out, whether it's recommending a milkshake or accommodating last-minute bookings. And let's not forget the beer garden; it's a lovely spot to soak up the sun with a cheap pint of something like Strongbow. On the flip side, it does get rammed at times, especially for family dos or match days, so you might end up waiting a bit, and while recent reviews are all praise, that overall rating hints at the odd slip-up here and there. Still, for a straightforward, welcoming pub experience with live sports and easy ordering, it's worth popping in – you'd probably have a grand time, but keep expectations realistic for a chain spot.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food here is absolutely spot on – think juicy burgers, moist chicken, and perfectly done chips, all at prices that won't break the bank.
  • Staff are a real highlight; they're super friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome, like chatting about the menu or sorting out any requests with a smile.
  • It's got a cracking beer garden at the back, ideal for a sunny day with a pint, and the app for ordering makes things dead easy – your meal just turns up at the table.
  • Plenty of facilities to enjoy, like watching live sports on Sky or TNT, free WiFi, and even a car park, making it a handy spot for a relaxed get-together.
  • Overall, it's budget-friendly family dining that leaves you with that feel-good vibe, especially for events like birthdays or watching the big games.
Cons
  • While recent feedback has been glowing, the general rating suggests it might not hit the mark every time, so you could have an off day with service or food.
  • It can get pretty busy, particularly on weekends or for events like Mother's Day, which might mean a wait for your table or meal, even if the team tries their best.
  • As it's part of a chain, it might lack that unique, quirky charm some independent pubs have, feeling a bit more standard in its setup.

Visited this great pub for some dinner food was beautiful hot and good value for money. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. We ordered using the app was very easy to use and everything just gets brought straight to the table. The beer garden to the rear of the pub is very nice has a TV outside for all the live sports

We had our son’s 21st meal here, Ben especially went out of his way to accommodate our requests we had. The whole staff on Easter Sunday were especially polite. We came today for a small meal for my husbands birthday and again all staff were polite, kind and helpful. Would recommend as a go to for the family,

Just been for a last minute meal on Mother’s Day. After thinking we had booked a table online, it turned out we actually hadn’t (our own fault). The lad behind the bar was very accommodating and made sure he could find us a table. We were told that there may be a wait on the food as they were busy. We ordered on the app and all the food arrived within 15 minutes. Absolutely gorgeous food, all staff were friendly and polite. Highly recommend the Korean chicken burger and the nachos sharer. Brilliant experience will definitely be back again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food was amazing, done perfect. Chicken was moist and chips was absolutely awesome 👌 the burger was very big and juicy 😋 comes out on a sizzler plate. Very cheap. Drinks was nice and cheap only £3.79 for pint of stongbow dark fruits 😬 garlic bead was done to how we like it. The atmosphere was very calm and staff was very polite and couldn't help you enough. Thank you 😊
