About This Pub
Ah, The Dartmouth Arms, what a gem it is down in Forest Hill! I have to say, from what I've gathered from folks' experiences, it's one of those places that just nails the balance of a traditional pub feel with that cheeky American diner twist from MEATliquor. The food is spot on – burgers that are packed with flavour, wings that'll have you coming back for more, and even solid options for veggies and vegans, which is always a plus. The staff seem like absolute stars, going out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and ensuring you have a laugh while you're there, whether it's a family outing or just catching up with friends. That lively atmosphere with board games, tunes, and a garden out back makes it perfect for unwinding, and it's great to see it's dog-friendly too. On the flip side, though, it can sting the wallet a bit if you're not careful, as a few have mentioned spending more than expected on the drinks and food. Still, for a solid night out without the fuss, it's well worth a visit – just keep an eye on the time, as the hours vary, and you wouldn't want to miss out on the fun. All in all, it's a place I'd happily recommend for a relaxed pint or a hearty meal with mates.

Fantastic food and ambience – family friendly gem!
We had a brilliant experience at The Dartmouth Arms. The food was absolutely delicious – full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The ambience strikes the perfect balance between lively and relaxed, making it a great spot for families. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout.
I recommend:
- Monkey Fingers with the sauce on the side for kids - really flavourful chicken strips
- Bacon Cheeseburger - Flavour packed burger but not oversized, just perfect - but if you’re hungry go for 2!
- The Chilli is homely and authentic - hits the spot!
I would have gotten photos of food, but it was gone in no time 😂
The food is really great! The wings and burger were excellent. Would definitely stop by again if I’m back in forest hill.
MEATliquor in Forest Hill is an absolute gem
a perfect blend of classic pub charm and the bold flavors of an American diner. Once you step inside, you're greeted by a lively atmosphere, a fantastic selection of craft beers and cocktails, and a menu that delivers on every fast-food craving! Whether you’re here for a juicy burger, crispy fried chicken, or a delicious vegan alternative, there’s something for everyone.
What truly makes this place special, is the service. The team is friendly, attentive, and always ready with a great recommendation. One waitress in particular, Giulia, has a way of making guests feel genuinely welcome: her energy, kindness, and attention to detail create an experience that keeps people coming back (or at least worked me!). Casual lunch? Dinner with friends? A laid-back evening in the garden with a drink? Better Call-Julia! She ensures that everything feels effortless and enjoyable.
Amazing dog-friendly policy, cozy indoor seating, and a stash of board games for a relaxed night out, and you’ve got a spot that’s hard to beat. If you live local or just passing through, MEATliquor is well worth a visit!
My fiancé and I had an amazing afternoon/evening here on Tuesday.
We were looked after so well by Alice and Prachetha.
The food was awesome and so was the cocktails and beers we had. We had the double bacon and cheese beef burgers, salt and pepper fries and nashville spicy fries. They have cool board games to play which we spent the evening playing and the atmosphere was really good.
The pub has a disabled bathroom and a ramp for disabled access to the main bar and side room with a single step down into another room and a few steps down to the outside seating area.
Good selection of food and drinks with something to suit everyone, food has vegan and vegetarian options and they do vegan cheese as well.
Looking forward to returning very soon!
Had a great time here. Staff really are nicer than average and made me and my friend have a laugh and enjoy her birthday! I did spend more than expected but the experience was priceless! Note, my visit was not at a typical peak time
