About This Pub

Ah, The Cree Public House – it's one of those spots that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff really go the extra mile to make everyone feel at ease, like that heartwarming story about them being so accommodating during a difficult time. The atmosphere strikes just the right balance – it's cheerful without being chaotic, and it's kept impeccably clean, which is always a relief when you're settling in for a drink. Prices are spot on for a budget-friendly night out, so you won't feel short-changed. On the flip side, it does tend to get a bit crowded on weekends, which might not suit if you're after a quiet corner, and with not much chatter online lately, it could be worth checking in person to see if it's still hitting its stride. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone in Ashington looking for a friendly spot to unwind, with plenty of charm to keep you coming back.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • It's got a really great atmosphere – lively but not overwhelming, perfect for a casual catch-up with friends.
  • Drinks are reasonably priced, so you can enjoy a few without worrying about the bill adding up too quickly.
  • The place is spotlessly clean, which always makes for a more enjoyable visit.
  • It's a welcoming spot for all ages, with a good mix of locals creating a community feel.
Cons
  • It can get quite busy on weekends, which might mean a bit of a wait or less space to relax.
  • There aren't many recent reviews, so it might not be buzzing as much these days, which could make it feel a tad quiet at times.

Attended my nephews funeral after service. They were very helpful on the day, they even let my nephews mother smoke her vape in doors. Which was a great thing to do in todays world of rules. Would definitely use them again, although preferably over better circumstances. R.I.P Eddie, your memory will now forever by on here for all to see.
