About This Pub

Ah, The Coach & Horses – it's one of those pubs that just warms your heart the moment you step inside, isn't it? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this wonderful old-school feel, like it's been frozen in time with its original decor and that proper backstreet pub atmosphere. Folks have raved about how welcoming everyone is; you know, those chats with the locals that make you feel like you're part of the gang straight away. And let's not forget the prices – everything's so reasonable, which is a real plus when you're just out for a casual drink or two. On the flip side, though, it's a shame there haven't been any fresh reviews lately; it makes you wonder if it's still as lively as it used to be, or if it might be a bit quieter these days. Plus, without a website or up-to-date info, it's hard to plan a visit without a bit of guesswork. All in all, if you're after a genuine, down-to-earth spot for a pint and some good company, I'd say give it a go – just keep in mind it might not have the modern touches some places offer nowadays. It's got that nostalgic appeal that's hard to beat, but it's worth checking if it's open before you head out.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • It's got that authentic old-fashioned charm, like stepping back in time to a classic English pub with original decor that feels genuinely retro.
  • The locals are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • Drinks are really affordable, which is a treat these days – perfect for a casual catch-up without breaking the bank.
Cons
  • There haven't been any recent reviews, so it might not be as buzzing as it once was, or perhaps it's not operating as regularly.
  • No website or much online presence means it's tricky to check things like opening times or what's on offer before you pop in.
  • With the last reviews from a few years back, it could feel a bit quiet or outdated if you're after a more lively spot.

Friendly old fashioned pub. Could be described as retro, but everything is actually original. Absolutely charming. If you want to know what a real pub in England used to be like 50 years ago, come here. You get a warm welcome and the prices are very reasonable. Amazing find!
