About This Pub

Oh, what a gem The Cheshire Ring is – tucked away near the train station in Hyde, it's got this inviting, old-school feel that just draws you in. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the beers are top drawer; they've got a fantastic range of real ales that change up regularly, so you're always in for a surprise or two. The staff are dead helpful and the regulars keep things lively with plenty of good-natured chat, which really makes the place hum. On the flip side, the hours can be a bit all over the place, and without a website to check details, you might end up planning around guesswork. Still, if you're after a straightforward, affordable spot for a pint and a natter, it's well worth seeking out – just pop in early to make the most of it, and you'll likely leave with a smile.

A top selection of well kept cask ales available at this pub just around the corner from Hyde Central 🚂. Friendly bar staff and regulars will ensure you enjoy your visit. Fans of Laurel & Hardy must visit the lounge to see all the mementos.

Preston Brook north to Higher Walton Gentle walk along firm tow path, though may become muddy in winter months or after heavy rain. Lots of bridges and exit roads to nip off to shops (or pubs), such as those on Moore Village. Also takes in some colourful barges moored up at the Walton end. Recommended.
