About This Pub

Ah, The Buddies Bar – it's one of those places that really captures the heart of Paisley with its unpretentious charm and that 4.1 rating speaks volumes about what folks enjoy there. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the cocktails are a standout; they're described as beautifully crafted and utterly delicious, which would make it a go-to for anyone fancying a fancy drink without the fuss. The staff come across as genuinely lovely, always ready with a smile and quick service that keeps things flowing smoothly, and the rooftop views add a nice touch for those sunset sessions. It's buzzing with energy, especially for football matches or karaoke nights, where the banter and crowd make it feel like you're among mates. On the flip side, it's a shame there's no food available, so you might need to plan ahead if you're peckish, and the no-dogs policy could put off a few animal lovers. Plus, with it being such a popular haunt, it can get crowded, and the lack of online info makes it harder to sort out the details before you go. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed or lively evening, as long as you go in with the right expectations – I'd say give it a try if you're in the area, but maybe pair it with a meal elsewhere for the full experience.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The cocktails are an absolute treat – I've heard they're some of the best around, with stunning options like strawberry daiquiri and passionfruit mojito that really hit the spot.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always up for a chat and making everyone feel right at home, which adds such a warm touch to the visit.
  • It's got a brilliant atmosphere, especially with that rooftop offering gorgeous views over the area – perfect for soaking in the local vibes.
  • A top spot for football fans and karaoke lovers, with great banter and a welcoming crowd, making it feel like a proper community hub.
  • It's affordably priced, so you can enjoy a good night out without breaking the bank.
Cons
  • There's no food on offer, which is a bit of a letdown if you're after a bite with your drinks.
  • They don't allow dogs, so if you're planning to pop in with your furry friend, you might have to leave them at home.
  • With no website or online details, it's tricky to check things like opening times before heading over.
  • It can get pretty busy, especially as it's a popular local spot, which might not suit those after a quiet pint.

Buddies bar has the most beautiful range of cocktails imaginable! Strawberry daiquiri and passionfruit mojito were hands down the best cocktails I’ve ever had! Andrew and his staff were extremely pleasant and helpful - service was great. The rooftop was stunning with beautiful views over Los Cristianos and the gorgeous Tenerife sunset. Location is easily accessible - We were staying in Las americas and took a 10 minute bus trip out to Buddies - less than €5. A must visit if in Tenerife. Thanks Andrew and Team - Cara x

I am unaware of any food served so ive just put that down as five stars. On the point of service and atmosphere, this is the place to be if you are looking a real view of Paisley. Many local workers come here for the odd drink and the staff are not only friendly but hospitable, something oddly fleeting in the hospitality industry. This bar may nit seem like much from the outside, though within is a melting pot of the many types of people around Paisley and more specifically The West End. I do not just reccommend but implore you to enjoy this pub if you are to visit Paisley
