Lovely lady behind the bar let me take my 3 year old nephew to the toilet without a purchase. Wouldn’t take a tip for it either, saying “don’t be silly”. Atmosphere was great and welcoming, both staff and patrons were lovely and kind, pointed us in the right direction. Would recommend visiting for a nice atmosphere.

Cute quaint pub! The bartender was playing Pokémon Go and we got to share trainer IDs! Had several drinks and was there for hours talking to new friends and listening to music. Cheers from across the pond! 🇺🇸🍻

Sunday, after looking round the market. Friendly local. Very clean with nice yard and garden. Good for a G n T and cool jazz if you use the juke box. Don't know about evenings I'm afraid. Nice yard on three levels and directly opposite Hitchin market with a view of the church.

Good, clean old fashioned style pub. Good location opposite the market. It has a range of fine beers, friendly staff and double-up offers on many spirits. Not at all crowded early afternoons (Sunday).

We got lucky on a hot Bank holiday and spent a good few hours in the beer garden. The drinks service was amazing - the guy on the bar was so attentive, and the space inside looks lovely, even though we were outside all the time. Facilities were clean and would definitely go back!
