About This Pub
Ah, The Bottle Garden in Leicester – it's one of those places that really stands out for its charm, isn't it? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, it's a lovely spot for sinking into a comfy seat with a well-made cocktail or an old fashioned during happy hour. The atmosphere is just right – relaxed, with some cracking music playing in the background, and it's perfectly placed for a casual meet-up or a special date. The staff often get a thumbs-up for being friendly and on point, which adds to that upmarket yet approachable feel. But, let's be honest, it's not without its flaws; a few folks have had rough experiences with service that's come across as rude or slow, and the coffee side of things seems to be a weak link, with mix-ups leaving some a bit disappointed. Overall, though, with such a solid rating, I'd say it's worth popping in if you're in the area – just keep your expectations in check and maybe stick to the drinks menu!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are often friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home, especially if you're after a bit of table service on a busy night.
-
They've got a cracking selection of cocktails, mocktails, and other drinks, plus a bit of food on offer, which makes it ideal for a relaxed catch-up with mates or even a romantic date.
-
The atmosphere is spot on – think laidback vibes with great playlists, like some Bee Gees tunes, and it's in a prime location in Leicester with options to sit outside.
-
Happy hour deals and bottomless brunch sound like a fun treat, and the place has that upmarket feel without being too stuffy.
Cons
-
Service can be a bit hit or miss, with some experiences involving rude staff or slow responses, which might put a dampener on your evening.
-
Coffee isn't their forte, as a few have complained about wrong orders or basic mistakes, like serving a cappuccino instead of a flat white.
-
Prices are moderate, but they can add up quickly, especially for drinks in an upmarket setting, so it might not be the best for a budget night out.

Worst place ever.
I came here a couple of years ago for a BB the service was slow the food was good but the staff were ever so RUDE. I went out for a social smoke before food came and didn’t have a lighter, thought it’d be fine to take the tea light off of the table out with me to light my cigarette in which they rushed outside to me, shouted at me and snatched off me like I’m a child?
Unfortunately went again last night as a group for my cousins hen do (around 16 or more of us) and yet again they were RUDE.
“well you can do your hen do elsewhere.”
We should’ve left at the get go but some of us had already purchased drinks.
Sat outside as wasn’t enough space to accommodate inside which was fine as wasn’t cold.
There was a really young sweet waitress that was apologetic on others behalf in which she moved furniture outside so we could all sit together.
They brought a tray filled with tequila rosè to apologise for their rudeness, although nice gesture, damage was already done.
Went inside to go toilet and the doorman physically touch my chest to say stop and wouldn’t let me through the door until he realised I was with the group. Although i understood his actions - Not very observant!
Won’t be returning and neither will my friends or family.
Costumer service is common sense.
Left a really disappointed imprint in my cousins hen do experience.
Do better.

First time coming in here and no idea why. Its a more upmarket bar with drink prices, look and clientele to show it. Staff dress smart and were friendly.
Me and my friend stood out as having a more rocker look but we were still treated respectfully. Was a Friday night and it was table service, until I go in more (which I will now) i wont know if this is a standard thing.
It has another bar and seating area upstairs where the seats can be used if if the upstairs bar is closed.
Will update this review as I come here more often.
I and my boyfriend went there to have a soda and a good coffee, well the barista didn’t know a C of how to make a coffee. First they said they can make an iced coffee, then said they don’t have a cup to make it in. Then i asked for a flat white with oat milk, they gave me half filled cappuccino. Then when i said i asked for a flat white, they took the same coffee, removed the froth and gave it to me. HALF CUP. worst service, super confused and untrained staff.
I popped in on a Thursday late afternoon just in time for the happy hour. The bar was calm and quiet with only three tables of customers, including me. More people started to come in at 5pm.
Nice drink! I had an old fashioned, woo!
The vibe was so laidback and the playlist was great. It was Bee Gees and some other disco songs.
Table service, and toilets are upstairs.
Great place to have some drinks.
Delicate decoration.
Great location.
Has a wide variety of drinks including cocktails, mocktails, spirits and soft drinks. Has a little bit of food too.
Ideal to go with friends or in a romantic date.
Medium price.
Has some tablets to sit outside too if you don't want to be indoor
